If I buy reFX Nexus 4 Expansions (legit expansions) will they work on cracked software? I saw other threads ask the opposite question. Thanks!

but can you buy nexus 4 expansions if you dont own nexus 4? (i own nexus 3 for example)

 

Do you know of a way to buy them pre-cracked? There is no "crack expansion" function inside Nexus. You don't have to provide a serial number to buy them or anything of the sort. What if you want to buy one as a gift for someone? You just won't be able to use them for anything until you get rid of the protection.

 

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly,
as far as i know the expansions are not "secured"? or do the expansions only work with the connected nexus version? i don't think so... they are all the same as far as i know
so does that mean that you can just buy the expansions without owning nexus 4? and then use them in a cracked version of nexus 4...

 

You cannot load a "legit" expansion into cracked Nexus 4, can you? You cannot do it with UVI Falcon, NI Kontakt, or any other plugins where they sell protected content. They are not going to stop you from buying an expansion that you can't use. That's your problem if you do. You also cannot load a "cracked" expansion into a legit version.

Someone has to buy the first copy and modify it so that it may be used in a cracked version. That's how they become shared. Not every supplier is going to go buy a legit version of the plugin just so they can supply.

For All of the instruments that you mentioned all you need is the library that you get from their company .
For nexus The Team VR release of nexus will recognize the expansion you just need the expansion from refx and that is that.
As For kontakt, kontakt itself will will register the library in bobdule's version and in Team R2R one the "Team R2R Kontakt Manager" will activate the library .
And for falcon, you need row library file which you can download from uvi website, but for activating it you need to make ".R2RUVI" file which can be make by their release of falcon (for complete guide you can read their uvi emulator manual).
So about nexus yes you can buy it and it will work on vr nexus unless the expansion needs newer version of nexus that is not cracked yet.
