Ehh... some Beerringer stuff is fine. Of course you're not going to kit out a proper studio with these (with exception of the patchbays and maybe monitor mixers).

Their audio interfaces have worked for me just fine, still got my UMC1820 for home use. Their patchbays are great, and if you get a working mixer, they work just as well as other cheap and cheerful mixers (Mackie, Soundcraft, etc.), not repairable so if you get a shit one then it just has to be replaced. Some guitar pedals are great and unique, but the ones cloning others tend to be so-so. A mate of mine has several of their synths (the clones of Model D, 101, modded 303) and they've worked great. Again, I don't know how repairable those synths are, but to be fair, fixing old analog gear is not going to be cheap, so win some lose some.

But you know, I'd rather people get suitable gear if they can't afford the pricier shit.

 

yeah it aint worth it....gui crashes FL...sounds like a Synthedit vst..poor af.

 

let´s sum this up:

1.) the knob graphics is very similar to tone2 saurus and the button graphics looks almost like a mic preamp from SPL.

2.) the whole layout and functionality of the display is an 1:1 copy from the ableton live AAS Analog.







3.) the logo with the name "vintage" and its typography is an 1:1 copy from Tubeohm Vintage.





Which is probably the cause you can not download it anymore.

i bet if i disassemble it i will find the ladder filter from juce and various open source snippets inside. and eventually some "semitism".

Tried a several times to get it from the legit page, and then also tried the free download off sister site.. neither worked (sister site because LinkSnappy is being crap right now, I think).

I think the universe is telling me I dont need another VSTi unless it's quite good. So that ends that for me.

LOL that Tone2 dude needs to get off his high horse. Thing looks nothing like his plugin (he's the one that initiated the whole 'its a clone' thing over at KvR) and they haven't been relevant in the DSP world ever for anyone to want to rip off.

 

Wow, was this thing really as bad as people said? Stock JUICE/Synthedit components? I'm so used to mediocre synths that the truly bland/terrible ones are a rarity now. So much so that I collect them.
