I'm trying to wrap my head around why I am getting "Demo Mode" on Spitfire - Hans Zimmer Percussion Los Angeles" and also on "Spitfire Percussion Redux V1.3"

I have literally probly 500+ kontakt libraries that work and I use the Kitty tool to install.. sometimes I use this other tool called "Add library for Mac V3" I have found useful... I was having the "demo mode" Problem with Spitfire Iceni library and used this tool instead of the kitty tool and the Iceni library worked fine! super weird...


Anywho, the other tool doesn't help my problem with the two libraries I mentioned. I have looked on here at many forums and cannot figure out what is wrong... I have tried making a new Nicnt file... but it doesn't change anything.

Any help would be appreciated, just let me know what info you may need from me to maybe come to some answers.

It may not fix your exact current problem, though it might. But it is way more useful than either of the two options you mentioned.

Just tried it... It installed but it is still in Demo mode! Damn you Spitfire! lol It's only happened with Spitfire libraries! lol hmm

 

I am having the same problem. Some libraries show as demo after working fine in my other computer. This only happened though on my new M2 Max laptop. Previously I was using an intel Mac and had no problems. I kept that computer so I can work but the Ms is unusable with Kontakt until they fix the problem.
There are major problems with OS Sonoma 14.4.1 and Kontakt. I think this is my problem. What computer/DAW/ and OS are you using?

when you encounter something like this with Kontakt, you have 4 possible sources of the problem. Your cracked Kontakt version, which people seem to have many different issues with. Sometimes even when they are running the same release.

Then you have your Utility program that you are using to load libraries and snpid, ninct, wallpapers, and so on. The scripts from Kitty would run entirely in Terminal. KLU from Fred Bloggs is way easier to use, and more complete of a tool.

Then you have the actual libraries. I have never ripped any of them; but somewhere in the release creation process it seems like there is room for variables and/or errors. There are often comments about mixed results from users; and they usually appear on a per-library basis. This is really the one situation where you can try a lot of stuff, but you will not get it to work. To look at that kind of details, it is usually best to go back to the source you downloaded from and check for comments.

Depending on where you download the libraries from, you can also run into a problem with the actual download of the files. If there is any corruption of the data, you will usually see that when you go to unrar it. I always use Keka on Mac, by default; but if I have a problem with a download that no-one else has a problem with, I will use The Unarchiver to extract it. You wouldn't expect different results, but that is often what happens.

On the REDUX v1.3, someone mentioned this as workaround for it: "use home made nicnt file, but rename the root folder to Spitfire Percussion [leave off the redux ending stuff] then the lib will register from the codes in the last R2R keygen and works fine."

I did not see a HZ with the same title, maybe this? : Spitfire HZ02 Hans.Zimmer Los Angeles.
Only attempt at helpful comment was " renamed the HZ02 Percussion.old to HZ02 Percussion.nicnt and it worked."

This stuff is why I don't even bother with Kontakt anymore, unless I really have to.

No luck on the name changes or the NINCT file name... super weird. Before, they showed up in the list but changing the names as you said they do not show up at all now... I tried dragging them in with quickload and they pop up in demo mode. Freakin-a lol

 

it's not " you said". I looked up each release on a site where you can still find older user comments. I do not want the credit nor the blame should either apply. If I can test something myself, I will. I'm usually not going to try that with Kontakt libraries because of the download sizes; and all the various reasons they can be problematic.

I'm very reluctant to even try older Kontakt libraries when they are a big download. People move on to newer titles and you are often completely on your own trying to get them to work, if you do not already know they will. One silly little detail with a filename even, and you just downloaded 30 gig of data for nothing. When I bought UVI Falcon, my Kontakt usage went down to about 0.

Both of those libraries will work, but I already showed you any comments that resemble being helpful. If I was in your boat, I would try downloading a different copy of Kontakt. Those are from 5.5 era, I think. I would try installing Kontakt 5. We used to use it all the time on v6 before the Kitty Scripts and Fred's KLU were available. The only time I had a problem I could not fix with KLU, actually; was fixed by using Kontakt 5 to add the library first. K6.8 or so was the last version I have used, and 6.6 was probably the one I had the most luck with.

I would try that approach before calling a 30gb download "unfixable" and deleting it. Try using them as standalone versions first. You used to have to do that before using it as a plugin. You can also try loading them with Kontakt via Rosetta2. The cavalry is not showing up to help. I would even try using Permissions Reset 2 on the library, knowing it shouldn't work. 30gb is a big download to delete, but even worse to keep if it really is junk. We no longer have UPAWG that we can check for old releases that got nuked.
