Pop music does not require a traditional understanding of music.

Psychology, beautiful face, beautiful body, body movements, up-to-date clothes, sociology, knowledge of the current culture, modern sound combinations, etc. are needed.

Making pop music is a team effort and not done by one artist alone. Many people have to work together and each of them have information in different fields to be able to present a complete work.

Digital production is sedentary, touchy, complicated, too nuanced, and polished, so it misses the raw energy of older recordings. The prevalence of technology greatly lost real human communication and contact with real instruments and playing them, so it lost human touch in music production. We should revisit older music and maybe rediscover what we had lost. Of course, older people have a tendency to treat the music of the past with nostalgia and compare it favorably to contemporary music because they were more optimistic and energetic when they were young.
Unlike the old days the surge of low-quality music flooding the market is a direct consequence of mass digital production, coupled with the social media's fixation on metrics like number of views, likes, and chart positions. This emphasis tends to prioritize simplified or catchy music over more intricate or innovative compositions.

 

Currently there's no living creature on earth that knows how to work with notes. If all people gather around and do whatever they know and ponder the whole time day and night for over 50 years, the equation of notes will not be solved. A very big secret, a part of life that cannot be easily deciphered.
