the best and cheapest reverb is when we climb up my nearest mountain and record vocals there on the spot. :chilling:

There is nice reverb in my toilet. Maybe in the future I will make IR's from it and start selling for shitty low price.

If you tell people that it's the bathroom of Bob Marley you earn quite some more money.

This will probably then be the favourite reverb of quite some people. :hahaha:

Just purchased SSL Flexverb for 17 dollars. Im in love with it.

Valhalla is always nice and even Ableton stock works fine for some space.

HD Cart is very underrated. Nice Lexicon sound, great user experience.

What's the verdict from the 52 pages now, which is best?

Wave Alchemy Glow is my new favorite. Lush, warm emulation of AMS RMX16 with a well-thought out UI. It's a mix of IR/DSP, but is really versatile. And of course, the NONLIN2 is there too.

So, I've just had an idea: maybe it would be nice that, instead of just stating our favorite reverb (which is kinda useless), we shared how and when we use them, our go-to presets, tricks, etc?

I mean 52 pages in, I still have too many favorite reverbs and I still feel like don't know that well any of them.

The larger the ear, the better the 'verb

None of them and all of them. It's not about the best, it's about which one(s) you like the most.

Not sure if DSP56300 (Virus B/C) emulator has been mentioned yet but it quickly became my favorite. It has Room, Hall & Ambient and they all sound incredible. It can be a bit on the synthetic side I guess but it works for me.

The Micro Q emulation can also be used as an effect, haven’t tried it yet but I’m sure it’s good too.

Okay. So Margarets shitty bathroom verb then. Got it. :) /s

Maybe I should explain my post, I asked about the verdict of 52 pages of favorite reverbs as a joke because it's just that - 52 pages of people naming reverbs. Soon we'll have every reverb ever in here because it's someone's favorite reverb. It's interesting for a few pages but I wonder if anyone reads the whole 52 and how it helps them? Every favorite has already been mentioned 15 times maybe we could start a poll? (Just ab idea)

I now have 1037 favorite reverbs that I've happily discovered in this thread and try to use them all in every project, which has been a project I've been working on, that is, to use all of my favorite reverb plugins in every project. It's hard work. My new album is entitled "The Long And The Short Of It".

I'm gonna start a new thread about people's favorite delay vst to help me get started on my next project. I will put to music an old children's book about a duck.

I am always surprised by the lack of interest in Pro-R on here, even if I always keep it relatively short. Altiverb 7 is still my favorite. I do not see an upgrade to 8 in the cards any time soon.

That thing is very special, so clean and never smears the sound source. Really really amazing. I use it on every mix.
