Bought a new mac and have been installing all the libraries and after 600ish, wallpapers start to disappear and the new libraries I add shows black wallpapers...

 

also, library order doesn't seem to work properly. After I rearrange the library in Kontakt7, KLU shows different library order. I tried rearranging it in KLU and hit apply, no changes in Kontakt7. Am I doing something wrong???

 

You probably didn't read the instructions! Try that first !

 

I don't know about wallpapers disappearing (unless you have a mouse!). "Black wallpapers" is not a thing ! No wallpaper leaves a black space though. There again, I talk about this in the documents and I must admit I am little inclined to spend time on repeating them here. If it's an embedded paper an your nicnt file is corrupt, you'd probably get the same thing, but the library probably wouldn't install at all…

 

restarted, fired up Kontakt, no changes were made. opened KLU, I get out of bounds message. thats the blank wallpaper I was talking about. it shows the original wallpaper on KLU. The reason why I'm asking this is because at some point library order was starting to change and I tried to correct them using KLU and wallpaper started to disappear randomly. Also, I tried to install new libraries and they all show blank wallpapers. Instrument works fine btw. Wondering if this is a known issue??

 

Wallpapers and library order are two things apart and quite independent of each other. Can you see the wallpaper for "Low Ens Strings" ? Is it named correctly? Is it a separate wallpaper or an embedded one ?
Without knowing just how you're using the library order utility, it's hard to say what's going wrong, but it works for me. I would need to know everything…

 

it's an embedded one with nicnt file. Didn't touch anything. It used to show up fine on kontakt. This I can just find a wallpaper and put it in the folder. Not all that troublesome for me but the library order thing is just not working for me. Tried reinstalling KLU couple times and still doesn't work properly. After I rearrange them in KLU I hit apply, the KLU library page goes back to original instantly(after restart it's still the same.) Another thing is after I rearrange the order in Kontakt and open up KLU library page, the order is not reflected accordingly. On Mac M3 Sonoma btw

Also, just found out that after installing a new library with KLU, kontakt library order changed randomly.

NICNT files with embedded wallpapers belong, usually, to OFFICIAL libraries that coming with an installer.
Rebuilding a Kontakt library from scratch, those kind of libs need to be reinstalled, not simply added with KLU...

 

Perhaps Kontakt's own library order cache file is corrupt or not being re-built when Kontakt is quit. I'd say throw it away manually if I knew where Kontakt stored it ! I've been after this information for a looooong time, but no one seems to know the answer. If I had it, I would build this right into KLU!

I'm pretty sure I've tried throw them all out as I've found them, but I shall give it a try as soon as I get the chance. Thanks for searching. Nothing stops you from trying to remove it and seeing what happens . If it worries you, keep a backup on your desktop before throwing anything (always a good precaution anyway!), or zip the file in situ…

Kontakt rebuilds things anyway.
The files you indicated are not the ones ! I tried . They appear to be bom files and caches, but do not cache the library order.

 

Easy: Libraries order is stored in > User Library/Preferences/ all the plists related to Kontakt libs

 

Installed an instrument, didn't show up on Kontakt, deleted using KLU, it still shows up on KLU, Checked xml and plists, where do you think it would be? SonicCouture The Attic 2 v3. If I click on SNPID window it directs to my Application folder. KLU is reading it from somewhere but I can't find it...Installed in from iso btw

• The Attic 2 has no Main library prefs file

KLU cannot detect library root folders without the Main preferences file. This file contains the path to the library folder.

I wish it were that easy ! You can use KLU to re-order your libraries and it does indeed change the order numbers in the user preference library files, but the modification only shows AFTER a re-boot, meaning that all the time Kontakt is running, it is storing the order in a cache of some sort. It is this cache that would need to be deleted in order to avoid this re-boot, and I cannot locate it and no-one can tell me where it is !

 

If installed from an ISO image and in the "default" location, it's more than likely in your startup drive/Users/Shared folder…

I use everything legitimate but I downloaded a library for kontakt (session percussionist) from the sister site that I can't load and they told me I have to use KLU and so I did but I can't get the loaded library to work (session percussionist. Hi, you said you downloaded or upgraded to the official version of Kontakt. This will not load the libraries - or it may load them in 'demo' mode. You first need to install a cracked version of Kontakt and get that running first and then run KLU to load the library
