Am I possibly being trolled (set up for defrauding) on Reverb.com?

Okay, so I just listed an old 90's era synthesizer rom/data card on Reverb.com. Just got okay'd by Reverb for sale, though a few days back using Trulioo verification services, Reverb.com requested that I hand over my Driver's Licence and Social Security number for the purposes of authenticating me as a seller. (They hadn't done that at the outset of my account set up, but in order to sell more goods on the site going forward, apparently this was needed.)

COINCIDENTALLY (????) a guy claiming to be making an offer for the newly listed item (and now approved by Reverb.com post verification-process completion) messages me the following:

"Wеlcоmе tо Rеvеrb Suрроrt! Your accоunt hаs bееn tеmpоrarily suspended due to suspicious activity detected by our system. There are doubts regarding your ownership of the account. You will need to confirm your personal information in order to continue using the store. Given the increase in account loss and fraud, we ask that you complete the verification process immediately. To confirm that you are the store owner, please go to your profile and fill out the store verification form. If you do not verify within 10 hours, we will be forced to block your account. reverbverif-eu.seler-shop.com/217649482"

Just below the above were the ACCEPT OFFER, COUNTER OFFER & DECLINE OFFER buttons. I almost hit 'ACCEPT' until I realized, "Hey, this ain't Reverb - this is a buyer posting this in a message on a listing?" So is he posing as Reverb to get a better deal? I am too scared to click on the site-link as I am pretty sure this is a scam. It's just funny that this 'offer', masquerading as an Account Suspension Notice came on the heels of me getting verified by Reverb.com only 6 hours ago.

    Thoughts?

I would contact real Reverb support and let them sort it out. They will likely act punitively against the buyer for impersonating them and for potentially trying to scam you!

password/credit card scam site. Close everything and go to whatever website you would officially go to on Reverb.com, and pull up your account info on their https server. anything legit would show up there by typing the domain name in your browser bar directly, so check with reverb. if it's fake your account on reverb will not show you anything, such as a legit warning.

Yeah, I was looking for a SAFE way to verify a web address. Reverb shows nothing other than I was verified successfully (today, in fact).

Did you actually (safely!) click on that seler (great spelllller huh?) seler-shop.com site? You have a sure-fire method for doing that safely? I trust nothing!

    Thanks clone!

I looked at the URL in your OP and saw that the domain is really www.seler-shop.com (sic). I went there and saw this shit:

Account orders are this is suspended. To restore the work of your store, please your verify bank card. Please enter and verify your bank card details within 24 hours. Once the verification is complete, your recovery store will resume. We are apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your prompt attention.

There are many grammatical errors in that which Reverb would not make.

@clone is on the money here. Ignore the message and carry on as you would normally!

I didn't see this before I replied. I did go there. Fuck them! Sorry for my coarse language. I was a sailor before I was a festival DJ. :)

That does not look legit. AS someone already said get to your actual reverb accnt and report the whole thing to the admins.
