    Hello great souls!

    i have a question for you :)

I just downloaded a very very cool device for max/msp, a kind of harmonizer for vocals.
    here you can download it:

    https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/nkdc...pler.zip?rlkey=ehljstsbz9ph41fskzsu89r2z&dl=0

here you'll find the video, so you can check what it does..

Basically what I would like to do is convert this .maxproj or .maxpatch into a .axmd file to use it as a Max Instrument in Ableton.

At the moment I download the files into the dropbox link, and it works perfectly on Max/Msp.
But seeing this video, this guy seems that can convert a Max/Msp device into a Max Instrument on Ableton.
    here's the link:

Someone of you can help me with this thing? I think that a person who use Max can easily do it :)

so far i know you need to open the project file in Max4Live.

Okay open Ableton, drag in an empty M4L device, click on the "old school chip" icon on the right of the device, opens M4L edit panel.

Now you need to open the project file and then you can save it. Only in that mode, you have to option save it as amxd file for use in Ableton.

I'm not an expert here, but I wonder to what extent such a conversion is going to work if you have no dedicated UI for a M4L device?

I was able to open the screen, drag a sample into it, when I played the device, the sample could not play, but someone who knows better can turn it into a "max for live" device.

so far i know you have to build max devices with ableton UI and ableton compatible modules in your mind.
You cant just turn every max project into a M4L device. the other way around seems to work.

What I have in mind about the UI is really simple. If you're referring about the YouTube video I linked on the first post, when the guy add various elements to the 'Presentation'.. it means configuring a 'layout' for the UI of the device. so for example in my Presentation I would like to have just the start button (the 'X' icon), and the 'view' element of the device to load any samples..

the behavior I want for this device is basic. I just want to load a sample (for example a vocal) and then pressing the start button (the 'X' icon), the device need to start to create the harmonies..

So..I'm trying right now what you have written some posts ago..
"so far i know you need to open the project file in Max4Live.

    1)I opened Ableton
2)drag in an empty M4L device --> what does it mean? I can't drag the .maxproj or the .maxpatch into a 'Max Instrument' track in Ableton..

    following the YouTube video:
he creates a 'Max Instrument' track in Ableton.
Then, he opens the .maxpatch file with Max/Msp, and select all the elements.
Then, he paste all the elements he copied from Max/Msp, into the 'Max Instrument' environment track in Ableton ( I will attach a screenshot of this with my device).
Then basically, he connect the Midi to the 'X' icon, and then he connect the Audio Output' to the 'mc.stereo' elements. Here I have the problems.. because I can't understand which elements I need to connect for my device.

let's try to troubleshoot this thing, because I feel that it can be very useful for everybody :)

Of course, if someone of you great souls have the knowledge to do it, please do it and save the device as .amxd file, so everybody can easily download it and use it in ableton without these tricky conversions!! :)
