    C'mon man, DP? Seriously?

I would choose any other daw anytime, just to avoid the existence of this one.

Anyway, back on topic, when i tried it a year ago, i was like searching a fast way to uninstall it, so i can't say much about it, maybe just that is not that similar to the other daws and the GUI and concept may kinda feel steep, ugly and workflow assassin (at least for a modern music producer.. :dunno: )

    Why even make a comment?
He have choose to use DP i guess he feels the same about your choice of DAW so what works for you may NOT work for him is that so hard?..

I have tried every DAW i know of even ones that is discountinued since many years like D.O.P.
Now i cant for my life like FL or Live i have tried both but unlike you i didnt searched for an uninstall button directly after i open the program i had it for some months looked at some tutorials from Mag:s and Youtube and Video tutorials like Groove3 then i uninstall them.

Now i trying to learn DP and i must say it is very good DAW i would choose that everyday compared to the danceorinted daw:s like Live and FL..

First of all, i don't even use your examples (FL Studio or Live) but they're good DAWs as well. Man... [IMG] you must admit that it happens sometimes in a musician's life to get frightened by a certain DAW :wow: , that's what i faced with DP. [IMG]

Anyway, i didn't tried to offend someone, i just expressed my (negative) opinion about my experience that i had with it. I just don't like that tiny looking elements of DP's GUI or the "different" way of using it compared to the "mainstream" workflow of the other DAWs.

Anyway, i won't get mad if you y'all will hate me, because some buddies right here if they love me, they will accept my little sins[IMG]

So you see y'all? I didn't tried to offend his choice. (He even wrote "Opinions" as the Topic Description). He's experimenting a bunch of daws to see exactly what suits him best. I did this in the past and for me, DP was like a fat lady where i couldn't find her pussy to insert my DMajor in. :dunno:

After reading a rave review of MOTU DP in a magazine over a decade go, I dedicded to try it on my winbox last year.

It was just really, really slow & I deleted it a few days later. But, it has its merits:

    • Good formant/pitch tools for vocals (i tested this)
    • Good, sensible, traditional DAW approach
    • Multiplatform, surround mixing - up to 10.2
    • Waveform editor?

See also their official page: http://www.motu.com/products/software/dp/features.html
