The latest version of Sonible SmartEQ4 on the sister site requires w_cproc_p_11.1.072_redist_intel64.exe according to the witches notes. I have searched everywhere for a working link to this file. Can anyone share this with me? Cheers.

I think I remember. That could be Intel Compiler equivalent of Visual Studio c++ compiler.
Probably related to the Intel IPP and MKL libraries, the fastest for FFT and other audio and non-audio tasks.
    I'll check it out

Edited: I checked out and they only say the usual Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2022 (x64)

    I'm talking SmartEQ 4 v1.0.0 R2R

it could be this one vc_redist.x64.exe. we need to use this to run Windows stuff on Macs.

I doubt anyone is requiring a use of an actual compiler. probably just the dependencies.

[ TL;DR] It doesn't make sense to require that redist. It's from 2010-2011. There weren't more than SSE2 CPUs then.

    Details:

I see. TCD's version is newer and they say it. It's indeed an Intel one. The thing is that file is from 2010-2011, extremely old. Shipped with Intel Studio 11

The latest is this one, but a LOT has changed:
Intel® oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler Runtime for Windows*
    https://registrationcenter-download...ddb8/w_dpcpp_cpp_runtime_p_2024.0.0.49848.exe

Edited: the closer I found digging in Intel's forums is this one:
    http://registrationcenter.intel.com/irc_nas/1928/w_cproc_p_11.1.067.exe
    I don't even now if it's x64 or x32(x86)

Edit_v2: The only mention, not download, of that file
    Intel C++ Compiler v11.1 Update9

Checksum ; File size; File Name
    3920727818 ; 25159680 ; W_CPROC_P_11.1.072_REDIST_INTEL64.EXE

@Xupito @clone - I'm completely ignorant to these runtime compiler thingymabobs. So from what I'm assuming, should I just install the latest compiler? I'm on Windows 11. Here's whats on my system already below.... I'm getting consistent Cubase application freezes when running any Sonible vst. All are latest R2R accept for the most recent TCD SmartEq4.

Just install the latest Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redist. Both x86 (just in case) and x64
Your pic show them installed recently, so go with that. Although you have two 2015-2022 x64 versions installed. So delete the older (14.34.31391)
If you have problems you can download them (2015-2022 x86/x64) from here:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/c...svc-170#visual-studio-2015-2017-2019-and-2022

I linked him these in pm earlier. That one file he was specifically looking for is in them. Many times, when you get a missing dependency error; you replace the single file it is nagging about, and then it just moves on to the next file you are missing. Usually because they are part of some bundle like this. Maybe this is just a Windows 11 thing.

I'm just adding the links in cased someone else finds the thread later on.

@clone @Xupito - Appreciate your help fellas. Just to be clear. I’m only experiencing freezing in Cubase with most Sonible vst3 plugins. I get no error pop ups or crashes. Just flat out total Cubase gui freeze. I’ve already tried the “No OpenGL” preference. Do you guys think the missing compiler is what’s causing this?

Judging by the size, what clone posted is the complete compiler, but it contains the exact file TCD asks for.
If the compiler has it so should have the runtime I posted.

It's similar to what happens with the famous Visual Studio C++ compiler and its redistributables/runtimes.

Anyways given he has taken the trouble to find that file it could be better if he sends you only that file.
@clone , have you PM'ed him the exact file?

@Xupito @clone.. I've tried opening the installer in 7Zip, extracted the .cup files. Renamed the extensions to rar then extracted all those. Ran a search to find the file. But I cant find it in there. Maybe its labeled as another name other than w_cproc_p_11.1.072_redist_intel64?

I see on the other site where you also asked for this file. Are there further instructions than this? They are from the TCD release.

Also, which of these releases are you installing, and have already tried installing? Something really doesn't add up here. The R2R v1.0 release of this had 670 downloads, and not one user complaint about this issue. The following update releases have over 150 completed downloads.

These are the TCD release comments at bottom of this post. R2R only have a text file which mentions Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2022 (x64) and no other instructions.

I think you have something strange going on here, unless no-one is running Windows 11? I have a hard time believing that.

Here is the link for the X64 version: https://download.visualstudio.micro...AE2ABD43BA28C6306466DE8A144/VC_redist.x64.exe

This is the x86 version of the same: https://download.visualstudio.micro...D1FFF332E4669DEA530B8C4F0E7/VC_redist.x86.exe

They are the same file I mentioned earlier in the thread. It does not help that you now report other Sonible plugins are having similar issue. Was there some issue in v1.0 from R2R? And did you attempt to use 2 teams releases?

If this was a Mac topic, I would move all the other plugins from Sonible to a folder where my DAW would not even see them. I would focus on this one by itself. As this is a Windows issue, I would use REVO uninstaller and remove them all so they may be installed cleanly and in some kind of systematic install order. I would probably prioritize the ones I wanted to run most. Almost always, when a user is the only one! with a problem, you really must consider this as some kind of one-off error, or some other situational thing like a version conflict.

My first inclination would be to get rid of anything not provided by R2R. These instructions show you need to install 2 files from Microsoft. Like I mentioned earlier, many times when you clear an obstacle with dependencies, you only see the errors after you fix the prior one. I can't tell you how many times I have tracked down a "missing runtime" and have it hit you with the next thing to go trawl the internet for. It sucks.

if you Google this filename: w_cproc_p_11.1.072_redist_intel64.exe , I only get about 4 results all related to TCD release. I doubt your computer is "this special".

    x64: VST3, VST2, AAX | x86: JBridge Files
    Necessary prerequisite packages installed
(pay attention here - the first one is
newer than usual requirement!) - or newer:
    1) vc_redist_2022.17.6.x64.exe - which
    is Microsoft C++ 2015-2022
    Redistributable (x64) v14.36.32532
    2) w_cproc_p_11.1.072_redist_intel64.exe
Just install! (Same AppID as previous release.)
P.S. If you can't see it well, edit this file to disable
    OpenGL here:
    %appdata%\com.sonible.smarteq4\com.sonible.smarteq4.plist
Under the line with "UseOpenGL" there is a "true" - set
it to "false" (without quotes) and save.

Oh, that's really sad. My problem is that i am not able to fill created groups with channels. I think that's the main advance of this plugin and it doesn't work for me too. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution. I can't cause i am a noOb. Btw i uninstalled some VC's and installed the ones mentioned here. Sadly doesn't work. Thumbs up for the technicians who will hopefully solve this fuck!
