TAL-Pha is an instrument plug-in that emulates the sound of the analog 80's synthesizer Alpha Juno II (MKS-50 is the rack version).
The plug-in produces the classic analog sound, combined with modern flexibility and many additional functions. The plug-in can read and convert sysex information from the hardware and can also be used as a controller.

    • Authentic emulation of the 80's hardware synthesizer.
    • Resonance boost for filter self-oscillation.
    • The possibility to detune, modulate, and sync the pulse part of the DCO.
    • Simple but powerful FX section with delay, reverb, and a bell-eq.
    • Arpeggiator with different modes.
    • Stereo UNISON mode with up to seven voices.
    • Aftertouch and MPE support.
    • Microtuning support (tun file import and MTS Client).
    • Original factory banks included.
    • More than 380 fresh presets by Electric Himalaya, The Unfinished, Saif Sameer, emptyvessel and TAL.
    • Individual tuning for every voice converts the synths DCO into a VCO.
    • Reads Sysex files and Sysex MIDI from the hardware device.
    • Can also control a hardware device. If enabled, it sends Sysex through the plug-in MIDI output (only possible when supported by the DAW).

indeed exciting if it works as such

Here are my custom sounds which I did with my MKS 50 in the late 80s early 90s..
plus many others collected via internet since then..
just place them in your TAL PHA presets folder..they will work...

    Dropbox download link :

Those are not WAREZ ! All free sound patches..

    Enjoy

BTW the plugin is just amazing ! just purchased it and compared with my original
hardware MKS-50 .. almost identical... and works perfect !

TAL makes the only Juno emulations that I use. They're cheap, light, they sound great and the dev is always looking to update his products and support his customers. Why wouldn't I use them?

the TAL-DAC plugin might be the most under-rated of the bunch. The desciption of it does not do it much justice.

wow i've been trying this for the past few hours it's half past six in the morning now... too much fun.
why would one need arturia's/roland cloud when you have this? i guess the roland stuff offers a lot of other things, but...

TAL confirmed once again as the king
    :beg:

ps: @Xcarnation thanks for sharing the presets!! awesome

I'd like to hear from people in a position to compare the real machine to TAL-PHA and AudioRealism's ReDominator.

I don't get it. I've used Tal-Sampler for a while now and it's nice, but the dac part of it I very very rarely found to have an interesting result from. Most of the time it seems to alter the sound very little.

the TAL-DAC is a very small separate plugin. I use it in place of the Logic Overdrive plugin, or other saturation, clipping lo-fi purposes. it's not going to make anything sound "better" if that is your goal.

    here is the manual: http://midimanuals.com/manuals/tal_software/tal-dac/user_manual/tal-dac-usermanual.pdf

S20 or S01 probably. TAL-DAC is just often overlooked. All the D16 plugins are great, but they aren't exactly cheap. You could say D16 is an underrated developer, meaning not a ton of users and very little hype about their stuff, too.
