    No this is not apples and oranges.
    This is what I mentioned. It is a expansion of technology.
    This is more like turbocharger after horsepower than horsepower vs. horses.

    Example from my own yard. 5 years ago I spent more than 1 hour in Photoshop to fixing this image manually.
    Right now it will be 1 click in Photoshop which have tools that uses neural AI.
    It is the same program with same tools, but now those tools are expanded and can do more thanks to AI neural network.
    Where are apples and oranges here?
    Right now I would use AI to fix this image in one click instead of spending hours and wasting time.
    Is this making me wannabe or lack of talent?

    For me stealing is selling plugins for 100 or 200 euros and one day a year sell them for €15. Why don't they always sell them for €15?

    I’m maybe an a**hole but I don’t see anything special in that picture from 5 years ago and the present.. u can think u have talent in making random pictures with random things but I don’t. And seriously u seems passionate about what u are doing and should continue to do so!

    I’m sorry u win I lose.
    Have a nice day!

    Both are from 5 years ago. It was a scanned poster and I fixed the crack.

    It is called an art by some :winker:

    For example artist like Beksiński used computers in the 90s to making random pictures with random things :wink:

    Soon if you didn't know how to use AI you will be worse for the employer.
    It is similar like in the early 90s people which know the computers had extra points.
    Can you imagine now office work without computers?

    If you are Programmer or Graphic Designer no one cares if you will use AI or no.
    They will care about the results.
    And if your employer have to choose someone who gives him result in 1 minute or you which gives him the same result in 1 hour.
    Of course he will hire the one who gives him the result quicker.
    And he will not care that you doing things manually without AI.
    He will care that someone else give him a quicker result.
    So the fact that you don't use AI will be your disadvantage, not an advantage!
    If you do not use AI in these professions, you will be far behind the others and worse than ones which use it!

    Look, if u having fun and enjoying doing what u do than that’s the only thing that matters..

    I was talking about warez and AI in form of audio.. and now I know I was right on 1 thing at least..
    U started to compare urself to a person who is well known and it’s a difference between being Beksiński and wannabe Beksiński.. and someone with talent for me is someone above the average.

    But who knows, one day maybe I go to a art museum in 2046 and see a art by Margaret with super hyper V.R ultrasonic.

    :wink:

    Digital technology (and not even referring to A.I.) has devalued human-generated artistic product, since the access to means of production is far less rarefied than in "the analog days." Musicians/composers are expected to create or license music for a fraction of what had used to be standard. Neophytes and veterans in the music industry compete for the same fees and royalties, now. Streaming services that pay next-to-nil (a tiny fraction of what radio play has commanded) are settled-for by musical artists who are in great competition with every other monkey with a laptop, and most of the new ones don't know nor care that they're being exploited so that the owners of the platforms can live well by a "sustainable" business model. Musicians have make their music available at no cost, and hope that rewards and dividends might come their way otherwise.

    Musicians no longer pay their dues, they "grow" their brands. People "get into music" with the inflated expectation of making a living from it, rather than work to get matriculated into an industry of paid gigs and sessions. Many so-called musicians, as one finds on this forum, hem-and-haw about whether they should have to bother to learn music theory, since their computers and DAWs do a lot of that heavy lifting. The market for music is glutted with it; some of it profitable, but most of it not.

    Add to this mix that a digital product such as music is not a finite commodity, like a can of beans or a loaf of bread. One doesn't "steal" music like one steals a can of beans or loaf of bread – obtaining it gratis does not adversely affect the extant supply, against which the value of the commodity is set. Besides, a musician has to accept that it's better to get the music heard than to wait for someone to not to pay to listen to it.

    The same is to be said of software. People have to be getting it for free, to learn to use it and to become reliant upon it, and develop a proficiency in it. That may or may not lead to a loyalty to the brand or necessity for the product resulting in purchasing legit copies of it for the sake of updates and tech support. How else are FabFilter, U-He, Valhalla, and other developers of effects plug-ins going to be able to differentiate their products from their competition's? By as many people as possible actually using it and developing preferences for it. Warez are almost never obtained at the expense of a paid purchase; most of the downloads are by people who could never pay for it, anyway. In the glutted software market, warez are the best publicity for it. Software developers have to accept that, like musicians, they have to permit their works to be distributed at no cost to end users, in hope of gaining their favor and revenue in the future, or by such users' recommending the products to people who are in a position to purchase them.

    I would agree that if you don't make money from music using warez is okay. However if you make enough money otherwise you should still consider buying. You're not going to steel a computer or monitors as well. If I use something regularly I will most likely buy it.

    In audio is the same.
    Let's say the client wanna vocal from Katy Perry song.
    He first call to Margaret and Margaret said. Hi. Unfortunatelly studio acapella is impossible in this case, Katy Perry didn't publish individual stems of this song. There is only Master. I can recreate instrumentals 1:1 and then phase cancel with track to get the vocals but it will be far away from Studio Acapella and it will cost a lot because it is a lot of work from my side.

    Then client call to John and John said. Hi. Yes of course. It will cost 5 dollars. And use the best possible AI stem separator and get almost perfect Acapella in 1 minute then fix it a little in couple of minutes and it will be ready to send to the client.

    You think who the client will choose?

    Good point, but it makes me wonder about what came first? Is it aiding in our devaluation of art or is it a reflection of the shallowness of culture, to begin with, that doesn't seem to value things of substance and depth.

    On my country, piracy is not considered stealing, nor for the law and the culture. Stealing means you're taking something MOBILE from a person. Mobile in the sense you're taking from somewhere else and moving to your pockets/hands. Intelectual violation isn't considered stealing not even by the laws from where i live.

    And some funny fact: there are MILLIONS (yes, millions) of people that make their living out of pirated stuff. Not talking about audio software, but general pirated stuff like clothes, brands, etc. Police doesn't give a shit, the institutions doesn't give a shit and the Law punishes way less that kind of misdemeanor than stealing and robbery.

    I mean, we got some real social issues down here in a way thoses misdemeanors become kinda unrelevant to the law and judgement free from society. Even some top dogs on the music openly say that they started out from piracy. A total of zero fucks given.

    In words of a friend who is a software engineer. He started his studies because of free stuff, music, films, games,...
    You could be paying susbscriptions, but is not your property, more and more you pay for smoke. To own the shit you have to download it, and be able to make it work without internet, if NOT is not yours, and you are paying for a demo.

    Ok, in that case she should go to John then.. but what a boring and unrewarding job John has with his AI stem separating technology for hobbyists tbh.. If I was John I would not choose to waste my life like that.. but who am I to judge :dunno:

    Yes, that's the deal. You're not stealing, as long as, even if you paid or DL, you're not the owner of the product. The owner is the Dev and the company. And we are not owners of most of the software we pay for. Acustica, UAD and Slate are there to remember us so, just to mention few for easy understanding.

    To put it simply you can't really steal a bunch of 0 & 1 but if you are smart enough you can sell it.

    Code:
    {
        stealing = (copy.paste);
        selling = (copy.paste.pay);
    }
