Having just downloaded I am looking for advice on installing. I have installed just the software, without the 230GB Kontakt library as I already have what I need in terms of sample libraries.

However, when I try to install the updates for Absynth, Massive, Reaktor etc they all say:

"Failure! No previous installation found....." etc

I have tried to start up the app and then trying, no difference. Restarted my Mac and tried, no difference etc. Tried installing latest Service Center and no difference.

Anyone know where I am going wrong?

All the NI software is in he right place. They are in Application > Native Instruments and they have a plist file in the Preferences and within the NI > Service Center folder.

I can't figure it out at all. I can open Absynth, Massive etc but gives the try, buy, activate screen and loads up, let's me play if i choose to try etc. However, i then try to install the update and it says no installation exists?!?!

Yeah, unless you need all the whole NI9 then instead one should get the Native.Instruments.Update.Pack of around 11/1/2013 by R2R as it has all the most updated complete series of NI tools. Also it has cracks for allowing new install with just update. It's a 12.3 Gb file. This is best last R2R NI release. As I recall NI9 Komplete was a lousy release full of bugs, slapped together by many groups. Not true the above mentioned.

Then sounds like u need to install the latest full versions (for mac) for each before you install any updates.
