Press Play: Virustotal finds adware

    Sorry for a clickbait-ish title.
    I tried to scan the legit Press Play installers via Virustotal, and every single one came off as grayware/adware/PUA and such. This also concerns WaveObserver Pro, their paid plugin.
    Does anybody have any experience with them? Are they actually clean? What's going on here?

    Are you checking the original files from the official website or also the sister site upload of it?

    The mac version shows clean, but the Windows is flagged as suspicious.

    I tried to run it in Crossover and got this Wine Pre-loader. I do not run *that* many windows .exe installers, but I have never seen this exact error before. This is sister site file. Maybe Virus Total is detecting poor coding practices, or Patreon link. :hahaha:

    sorry i dont tried it yet... but i was to curious to... but the fact that it have one more feature than psyscope, doesnt convince me, so i kept psyscope.

    Damn, is it true? I have been checking these out and was about to subscribe to their Patreon. I have a few installed, I did SpyBot full scan and it didn't come up with anything

    I have never seen anyone hex edit their Patreon link into their own spyware before. :guru:.
