Anyone else having some new, recent problem clicking on links on Audioz?

Started for me a few days ago. I use Chrome, and it seemed to begin right after a Chrome update, so I'm not yet certain if the problem is with Audioz or Chrome... Maybe the Chrome update is just coincidental???

What's happening is that its become really difficult to find the spot that will engage the link you're trying to click on -- in other words, you're clicking on what looks like the link, but nothing happens, and then I have to keep moving the mouse pointer around trying to locate the spot where the link will actually work. Sometimes its completely to the right of the actual link, at a spot that's blank. Other times I'm finding that you have to find the precise center of the link for it to engage -- the left or right side of the link does nothing. Also, I can't seem to highlight many of the links either. Sometimes I like to just copy the link by dragging the mouse cursor and highlighting, but it doesn't happen now, no highlight when I hold down the mouse button and drag.

Anyone else getting something like this?

That's weird man, I use a few browsers including Chrome and it works for me. The only problem that I have noticed was with the recent torrent that SAiNT posted of Rob Papen Blue II where the link burst out of the frame and was unable to be clicked. It was only something I noticed with the torrent link container and I mentioned it to him that same day. The interesting thing is that it is a bug with Chrome because Firefox displayed it properly. Otherwise links were working fine for me, I wonder what it could be. Is it possible you have an add-on working on the page and it's affecting it? Perhaps a script blocker or something.

    Thanks for your response.

A couple of hours from now when I can sit with it longer, I'll install Firefox and see if it's happening with that. I'll also try some screenshots to see if I can show better what's going on. Really not sure where it's coming from, but if no one else is seeing it, must be on my end. I re-installed Win 8.1 and everything else on my computer the past few days so I suppose the problem could be coming from a number of different places. I'll figure it out. Really annoying though when you have to click on something 20 times before it will take. :)

No problem. Yeah that would be a hair-pulling experience for sure, the torrent issue was annoying me and I didn't even need it. If you send me what you want or links to the pages I will put together the links for you, you can use shorthand and I'll still understand. Chrome must be implementing some under the hood changes recently and that's what's causing the disparity or maybe it's a third party add-on causing the issues. Do a test with Firefox and we'll see if it's browser related or not.

I have this problem with the links, too.
    Using the latest Firefox.

Sometimes I have to hoover over the link 2-3 times, until I can click it.
Sometimes just leaving the mouse pointer on the link for like 1-2 seconds helps, and the link becomes active.

It's not happening all the time, though.
It seems like it is the case with every second link.

So one link works perfectly, then the problem described above occurs with the next link, then the next link works perfectly again, then the same problem...
    Very strange :dunno:

I actually ran into this bug recently myself but only once and it was on a mirror that RBolvari provided. I've put this on the list and we'll look into it. It seems that this is a recent development right?

    Just for clarification:

when I said "links", I didn't mean the download links, I meant the headers of the articles.

For me it's not recent, it was basically like this since the relaunch of AudioZ.

I don't know why that would matter to you but you can select the article title quite easily by starting your highlighting from a little before the text, outside the border. I hope this helps because it's working perfectly every time in my test. *yes*

Yeah thanks MrAnonymous, I was actually just going to write SAiNT about this. These ad scumbags have infested the site in many ways hijacking such things as even logging in. I tried to do it from my phone and had massive problems yesterday. There are also redirects that are loading the App Store with some stupid app they're peddling. I might just make it my life's work to hunt these scumbags down and end them because I've honestly had it with these parasites. These people are the scum of the earth. I actually think that there are a few things we can do on the back end to prevent this kind of abuse and I'll write you about them when I have a moment and feel slightly better than death, very sick right now.

SAiNT the parsing of link text is still not fixed. If you include an apostrophe in the display text for a link it will only take the part before the apostrophe. Like let's say I want to linke to an article learndigitalaudio.com/blablabla and I set the display text as Nebula's Gain Staging it will parse so it reads Nebula instead.

Also I'm seeing that link issue appearing, don't know where it came from because it seems to be a recent occurrence. :dunno:

    Testing on Firefox now.

I'm having inbox bugs at audioz. I read all of my inbox out of six and it's still say there is 2 unread and sometime would pop up the supposed unread message when I access audioz.

When I delete everything it says 2/0... 2 messages out of 0. lol

We've been having a hard time tracking this down. We reset the counter and it's still happening. :dunno:

    We'll look into it again.
