I really like what softube did and be able to bring in modular, parts of old synth and real hardware eurorack!
Now if they develop more, it would be increadible , for me it's the best sounding software out there. My computer is still lost with big patchs...
So which aditions would you like to see in this collection ???
For me Octave the cat, syncussion, ms 20 and modules from companies like make noise, nice looking, crasy stuff to do experimentations !

 

TBH I found the interface of Softube Modular very disappointing (really not necessary to mimic the physical behaviour of eurorack = unability to move modules *between* spaces without also moving the neighboring ones...), AND the choice of internal modulators and utilities very lackluster given the price and great sound quality.
Sound quality is great but CPU cost is immense. I can build patches 5 or even 10 times the size with VCV Rack or its free sibling Cardinal.
Lots of stuff is available in VCV without charge (whole MI line) - even Buchla stuff is there but with different names and not 1:1 copied design.
But the big bummer for me are the above mentioned design flaws.

 

I don't really use Softube synths, but it would be nice to see something other than the usual suspects, maybe some modern synths, or old obscure ones, maybe even a design of their own.

If they keep the same trend of releasing classic synths, then i'd absolutely love to see another CS-80 emulation. That, or something ARP related.

 

Anything will do, their modelling is really good.

There was an Italian mono synth I owned back in the 80's called Jen SX 1000. I would love to see how they would go about recreating that, but with some major modern features added to it. Maybe make it polyphonic too.


(I know there are free recreations of it going around, but I wasn't very impressed by them)

 

Yep the interface need a big update to be have a workflow like realtor or vcv. I like to have estetic on my software to work. For the CPU I use it like a real modular so it's very personal but I like it, very different way of use others soft, to be able to be efficient and record audio. I spent to much time in reakt or vcv with finally not much product to work on it. Here you know well modules , you can change a patch made by modularists pro or doing a small one, with a cutting sound in the mix for your track. But yes I would love to see a faster way to work on it.

 

By the way all softube include modular was realized on sister site, but it works well with paid modules and synths with all others posted modules so you can add stuff if you need

I'd appreciate seeing an Ensoniq ESQ‐1 vsti version from Softube to help heal my broken heart and ridiculousness from never getting mine back after leaving it behind during my relocation from the east to the west coast back in the day. I just saw one come up for sale but they are just too damn expensive to both buy and mend. I'm no synth surgeon and if I could find someone to bring one up to spec it wouldn't be worth it to me. Also, the keybed was cheesy and felt like playing with a child's toy. My keyboard controller would be a pleasure to use with those sounds at hand.
