Don't want to waste people's time. But a search for TouchOSC forum brought me here, so I created an account. I'm VERY early in my exploration of this software. A little background. I'm travelling the world on a motorcycle while filming and writing music. Due to weight I had to drop a lot of gear, thus using the iPad as a MIDI controller/keyboard etc. has become essential. SO. Here I am.

Can TouchOSC Bridge be used with other apps on the iPad to send MIDI? I have Bridge installed and its talking MIDI over a USC C cable. Using Reaper to test and set routing up.

I would like to use an app called KB-1 for keyboards. When I go to set up MIDI on it I only have the option of selecting Bluetooth MIDI, which I don't have working. PS- I'm using a Windows PC for recording. So its iPad to PC.

Any advice or suggestions most appreciated?

what you want to do is very specific to your software and devices, I would suggest you talk to the developer of the Ipad app as well as try the reaper forum to see if anyone has any experience. most people would just use a midi controller. they are very small. look at the akai Lpk-25, its very tiny and has an arpegiator.

I can't vouch for USB MIDI which I've not set up currently, but I use TouchOSC and Velocity Keyboard in parallel at the moment. The TouchOSC is appearing at the TouchOSC Bridge input in Windows, and the rest is set up via rtpMIDI.

Though it doesn't mean a thing for Reaper, Ableton Link works fine with this setup as well.
