Thanks for your input. I personally am only interested in using it as a controller atm, and foreseeable future.
I'm a bit apprehensive about letting it connect to wi-fi or update the firmware as I'm unsure if it will break functionality with non-legit Live Suite. Have you any info about both please?

PS: I'd also like to use the audio interface of the unit, is it a viable solution? has anyone tried the interface out? how is the latency etc?

No info but thoughts Bro.
For Ableton, both Live and Push are a business. Ableton certainly knows that cracked Live and Push 2/3 are used together. Of course they could make Push 2/3 incompatible with a non-legit Live version. BUT why should they, because that would cannibalize the Push business!

I therefore assume that non legit Live with Push 2/3 will continue to work in the future.


P.S.: I have a legal Live 12 and a Push 3 standalone. The functionality as a controller for PC has been broken since some update. I don't know exactly when this happened. But since I only use the Push 3 as standalone device anyway, it's not important to me now. But you can see that even original versions can have a quirk. So as always: No guarantees in live (pun intended)

I just received my Push 3 controller, I am on mac.
I am using Live 12 Suite with the help of the sister site. It's the AW version with a key generated. I have no idea if the version of homecracker works as well.

Anyway I am jamming along and it is great. Can't justify the funds for legit software right now and am super happy everything works as an extended deep trial
(When you press on software on the push 3 it actually shows the serial number generated from live 12... !)
