When I listened through the tracks for the AudioSexed album some days ago it struck me that the tempo and feeling in Equilibrium by Kaylix would fit very well with some of the lyrics and vocals from my track.
So to experiment a bit I made this remix of our stuff. I think it sounds pretty cool

Just mute the youtube sound - yeah, Rammstein gotta take a break - start the video running first and then start the Kaylix remixed track and play it loud…

Yeah, I see what you mean.
When I was developing my original track with these vocals I actually fooled around for a while with a dub style breakdown as a part in the middle. But I couldn't really make it work with the other parts so I had to drop it. It sounded good by itself, though

 

Ha! I happen to know that Kaylix was toying with a wobble bass when first composing this one. Also, at 1:51 the vocals almost have a cool Bjork type vibe (or is it just me?).

 

I think the way she went with it was good. It can't all be wobble
I really like the cool vibe with a cinematic touch that some of you guys got goin on in your tracks.

Haven't thought about Bjork myself, but maybe there's some similarities since they're both from the old viking countries

 

Really cool song, and I agree the vocals fit nicely in there.

The song is lacking low end though and I think that's taking away from the feeling of the track. The kick specifically is too thin. Since the bass you're using is not very sub by you should a kick with more bottom end so that things sound big in the bottom end. The percussion also could use some reverb. A nice short reverb with the high end rolled off a bit would sound good on them definitely. Get the kick and bass to work together nicely and you'll take the song to another level.

I didn't have any separate sounds for the Kaylix track, I just used the downloaded full mix, so I have to admit I didn't try to manipulate much of that, except transposing it to match the vocals.
But maybe I should've tried to add some bass and tweak some more details in there.
This is something I gotta work on for the future, getting the best sound out of a track when the basic mix feels finished.

 

Great song thisis theend, I actually have been meaning to drop in and comment on it for days but there's many projects that are in the works. I actually caught it when you first put it up but getting back around to comment has taken me forever. Great stuff!
