Hi , I want to try the Knock plugin by Plugins that knock , I can open it in S1 but it failed to 100% , my studio one crashes every time I open it .

Do you have the same problems?

Maybe I have another Vst version than some guys here .

 

KNOCK 1.0.1 VST3 working for me, Reaper, Win10

 

people have 1.0.1 problems with crashing Studio One and also Cubase 11 and 12. One person mentioned using it in Patchwork and that was ok. No other solutions posted about it, but that is comments only from a handful of people. That doesn't rule out it being something you can fix.

There are not multiple releases of this plugin. Everyone should just have 1.0.1, unless legit.

yeah it happened to me once in S1, but it's working on Reaper when I test it. I stopped using it now.

same here... idk if its kind of ram limits or what... but its random when it works fine... if i had a load of plugin and try to place a HIGH Q in that plugin it crashes... but i have other project more loaded, kind of mix and master into one project, and if i already have it loaded and configured, no crashes... weird.. so maybe u place the drums first and place that config from start... for me sometimes works... i have studio one 5 artist, and in the Pro 6 happens too..

 

I have read somewhere that it’s because of the sample rate.. if u have it on more then 1024 it will crash.. don’t know why, it’s a “producer plugin” and they usually isn’t so well thought. I like his sample pack though.

I just found which i guess its the real solution:
Just drop the vst files into the VST3 folder... alone.. inside no other folder. just throw them alone. now i can work at the max buffer size and change anything without worring.

I need to mention that if u left the folder just how it was installed.. no prob but u never can work or export at higher buffer size...
so highly recommended just throw the vst files into the VST3 folder alone. Spread the word !
