Well it's not new. Spitfire is known for recycling their old libraries.

But when I bought "Aperture Strings", Spitfire wrote in their FAQ:

"Does this product contain content from other existing products?
    No."

    https://www.spitfireaudio.com/aperture-strings

Now take a closer look, where these samples come from:

The laziness is, they even didn't bother to rename the samples!

Are all of the samples from Sable Strings?

Unless this sample is from an articulation that wasnt in the original sable lib, its a dirty trick

Save a few bucks on BBC studio rentals & musician wages eh lol, scumbag kontakt library merchants

How many different strings soaked in reverb can they release anyway, its worn out, im half expecting them to release cheese strings & pulled pork strings next (recorded by an overpaid, greasy, bourgeois sampler dev in a 12million$ studio)

i'm pretty sure it's illegal if i sell you product A one day, and the next day I sell you product B which is just product A but with a different name, and i sell it to you as "there's nothing from product A in product B!"

If you feel you be been scammed, you can sue the company. If you can prove in court that this product is defective you can get a refund

They have 7000 string libraries you really think they recorded 7000 different string sections. I’ve been done with spitfire for a while. Esp after kicking Henson out.

Spitfire deserves some R2R treatment. They’re all a bunch of pretentious douchebags.

I look forward to doing the same as I do now with the Acustica releases - download each and every one out of sheer spite. Then delete.

No offense - but what does any of that have to do with Spitfire lying to people about their re-use of samples? Supporting or not supporting a company due to their dishonest business practices is a completely separate grievance than one of inclusion based on identity or ideology.

spitfire libraries are not even that good. there was a time when they were, but that was when they were one of the only ones doing it like that. there are better options in my opinion.

At first glance I thought that the little person standing over at the corner was actually little Michael Jackson, but then after a few seconds I said, "Hey, you can't pull the wool over MY eyes!".

This whole thread is about spitting fire!

    Fuck'um.
