gave them 299 or something like that. some paid 999....
YES I used the gold strips in a project and yes it was fun.
That was a long time ago since then : no updates, no new promised add-ons, no new skins, no nothing. Site vanished.
What a piece of shit line of code that was. made my money back and moved on, but man...

With the amount of Acquas they're releasing, it's starting to feel like a pyramid scheme.

Don't forget the valuable input from Phonica Electronic Music School's collaboration on this masterpiece. I have never seen a deliberate demo of a plugin doing nothing before. More snake oil.

No one has even mentioned that AA's website had a long time user message board with over a decade of user info and posts full of details and info on their IR tech, yet they took it down, and all that info is lost now. When companies slowly destroy their core user base, in this case Nebula, history shows us those companies struggle long term.

At the very least, surely, we are all able to sleep a little better at night knowing that Giancarlo has banned Luca Pretolesi's Aquarius account after "illegal activities" were detected on his studio computer.

Imagine buying 6 vinyls from an artist, and also downloading one of their albums from RapidShare, and all of a sudden the artist confiscates not only your download, but the 6 vinyls you bought because he sees you playing the MP3 while peering in your living room window.

Amongst the vitriol, lots of hypocrisy and contradictions and very odd stances.

"Once, I told Acustica that my Aquarius account was blocked and they immediately sent me a SCREENSHOT OF MY COMPUTER SCREEN, which showed that Aquarius was launched with a completed account login (created temporarily to communicate with tech. Support) I'm not sure they don't steal any other information by taking screenshots of my screen. My trust in them is completely destroyed. With the heavy protection of their plugins, they protect themselves, but I no longer feel protected from them. May the R2R team, which not only gives opportunities, but also protects me, be blessed."

a comment at the sister's site. what the actual fuck was that.

That's weird. But there's a clue in that he did say he was working with tech support... did they maybe set up a TeamViewer session and they had access to his computer that way? I know Antelope use TeamViewer a lot for their support jobs, maybe Acustica do too.

If they got access to his computer through the Aquarius app, that's fucked up.
But we need more info before we go into hysteria

"A year ago, our compressors had erratic behavior, lacked oversampling, and preamps were often seen as problematic, especially at higher levels. EQs were slow, lagged on frequency changes, often had ripple effects, occupied a lot of memory space, and had high latency. I recall our typical plugin latency was around 5,000 samples. Further, direct value entry in plugin knobs and controls was not possible, meters were seen as lagging or insufficient, and the product workflow was often deemed eccentric."

This is from a new post by Giancarlo. A year ago, they would deny that any issues existed. This is a weird flex. Like saying "Our products used to be crap, and our marketing was a complete lie, but now it's a bit better!"

One compressor to rule them all, One EQ to rule them all, One saturator to rule them all, One limiter to rule them all

And NONE of them are Acustica.

    As you were.

That may be "recalled" this way; but this is just slid in as some accepted measure. Can someone with a few of these plugins installed check this on a few different units? I don't ever remember seeing any other developer have separate ZL (Zero Latency) versions of their plugins. Sometimes there is a "run optimized" option in the preferences; but I have never seen that reflected in any ZL file names. Maybe these were created to address past complaints about Latency?
