Hi all! Does anybody know the difference between the M D-Esser and the T D-Esser, as well as the other "M" and "T" products from Techivation? Thanks!

    Just looking on the site.

There are more parameters you can change on the T-de-esser Pro. Intensity, Sharpness, Attack, Release, Oversampling, Lookahead, stereo link, saturation, etc. The M - de-esser has way less adjustable parameters. They say it has "Spectral Shaping", and it is also $20 more expensive. Whatever "spectral shaping" does in this version, it is more expensive.

There is a T version freebie that has less parameters also. https://techivation.com/t-de-esser/

I haven't used any of them, but I doubt either of them are better plugins than Fabfilter Pro-DS. Maybe I will check out the free one.

Yeah, I mean, they give no explanation! Judging by the price and GUI, it seems the M class is "smarter" or something. I was more interested about the Puncher, Imager and Clarity plugins... But good tip on the Fabfilter. Will sure check that out!

    I think:
    T is for Tracks, Tracking
    M is for Mastering
But Techivation products are good on tracks, mixing, mastering, restoration stages..

100% agree. I've tried essentially every commercial de-esser solution and nothing is more accurate & smooth sounding than Pro-DS with 15ms of lookahead. It's the only fabfilter product I use nowadays
Split-band, and even moreso, spectral shaping, is a bad application for de-essing vocals. All it does is cause a lisp with no added benefits. The only application for it is when you want to use it for non-vocal material (fast high frequency limiter) but often times you don't have the choice to toggle between split/single band.
Techivation's standard de-esser is pretty good though. Used the free version for awhile before Pro-DS :P
