Any opinions ? Which one is standard.

I use Altiverb but it's only x86 version, and I try

    1. Liquidsonics Reverberate
    - it's stupid installer, install separately plugins and it's library, so if you plan to use cross DAW (x86 + x64) you must have 500mb x 2 :(
    - GUI glitches
    - CPU is ok
    - sound is fine
    - there is a lot of possible options, like eq of both IR's, fx's etc...

    2. Waves IR series
    - very low on CPU
    - library is available on waves site (4Gb) but you must install in c:/program files/waves/ on C: partition... so stupid !!!
    - why is everything stupid ?!?????
    - sound great to my ears, lot of optons (a half unknown :), I must study)

    Any other and opinions ?

    For convolution reverbs i use
Waves IR 1 and AudioEase Altiverb
You can also try algorithmic reverbs: Classik Studio Reverb package by IK Multimedia or ArtsAcoustics Reverb (I get very good results in LASS)

    Free convolution reverb library:
    Samplicity’s Bricasti

Thanks for response and read the topic title :)

Best "convolution reverb" + library for x64

I use altiverb too, but only on Live x86, because there is no Altiverb 6 on x64.

If I decide to move on Live x64 I loose Altiverb, so I ask for alternatives and in overall what is standard.

There's also the CM and LE edition of Liquidsonics.

CM Edition: Stereo in & out, comes with buying (certain editions?) of Computer Music Magazine. MUCH smaller HD footprint, less IRs, ofc. I have this.

LE Edition: Mono in Stereo Out, Free on their website, smaller HD footprint, etc.

Else check out some Algorithmic reverbs like BREVERB2, TB_Reverb, Oldskoolverb (free), the Hybrid reverb in Izotope Ozone 5, etc.

Sorry, I forgot to clarify that the last update LiquidSonics Reverberate solves many of the problems you mention (Gui glich, etc) for me it worked perfect after installing the update on widows 7 x64.
Regarding problems intalacion not had any, it works perfectly for me.
Why not try to use jbridje to use Altiverb 6 on a 64-bit DAW?.
PS: I am now an old phone with java operating system and I can sometimes overlook some things.
Cheers and do not be mad that I'm not kidding you. :mates:

Even with new version Liquidsonics still have glitches on GUI, some strange behaviour. Just because of that I put it on list what I tested...

Altiverb6 with JBridge has some problems for me, I don't know why but it is how it is.

After some tests I found that only Lexicon reverbs and Waves IR work great on S1 x64, there is no CPU problems at all. So Lexicon is safe and can be used by JBridge.

Voxengo Pristine Space is apparently out of the table :(

Try this IQ-Reverb - HOFA-plugins, which is similar in some respects to Altiverb 6 and is available in x64!

Curiously, I'm seeing that you have many problems with vst plugins.
I think it is time that you wonder if plugins are the cause of your problems or other factors.
It would be good to indicate what DAW work.
On what operating system you work.
I use Altiverb 6 (jbridje), Hofa IQ verb (x 64), Liquidsonics Reverberate in Ableton Live, Image line and Studio One, without any problems on Windows 7 Ultimate Edition x 64.
I hope to not be pushy and annoying, but my intention is to help

Actualy, I have not any problems with plugins, from what point you talking about, where you see I have problems ?

It's the true that I have some freezes with HOFA even with compressor or reverb.

Reverberate work correctly but it has a glitchy GUI, it's not only me, there is a more people who confirmed that behaviour.

Altiverb work but with JBridge, and it has problems with closing GUI or removing plugin (it must be set in jbridge settings as slugish gui). Just, when you want to remove plugins from chain around it lasts 5-10 sec until closes. Probably not only on my machine.

Lexicon work with JBridge ok, no problems at all.

All other plugins work correctly, x64.

This is in Live, S1... last days I play with DP8, but DP is shit on windows machine. It's the first version developed for win, so I guess it's ok.
I also have PT10 and all plugins RTAS work correctly.
    Altiverb RTAS work great.

For what it is worth, I use Studio One with Waves IR1 on Win 7x64 and I am very satisfied of the result (very low CPU, great and natural sound, very good library).
