Best to watch some videos.. or: isn*t there an option to trial them at least for a while???
back when I was at legit Reason you had the option to trial a device for 30 days without limitations...

is the same price and does a lot - but is also less straight forward to use..
so if you want a quick pattern machine which is fun I would go for Pattern Mutator or maybe even Quad Note Generator..

 

why impulse buy stuff? there is so much for free or even fixed. you can make music for years with what you can find for free.

not sure if you are aware of that but the OP*s question was about a device for Reason framework (Rack Extention) - there have been attempts at sharing those but without the right kind of conversation tool it is not possible.. unless the witches or other clever minds gives us the toolset in a similar way to the EastWest or Best Service engine stuff to generate an unlocked version of it.

there has been a set of Rack extensions shared shortly after the breach of Reason 12 - but not in a longer while and also not a global tool for us to create the R2RRECACHE files from legit data. Many folks have been waiting for more of them. Sadly none have arrived so far.

 

The thing is people don´t supply stuff to R2R, it´s hard to release, if you don´t got the software

 

I remember, there were attempts of someone supplying Player devices - even was a bit of a discussion here - why it did never come to a success is beyond me
