If you are a legit user of console 1 & fader on the latest software & firmware, R2R strips eqs drives ect still working, just get rid of old R2R console 1 & fader software for legit up to date version. They are working side by side. I’m sure like you say once devices have been updated with firmware the old R2R console 1 software No longer works but there’s no need to run that old set up anyway if your a legit user. Because I assume if you have the hardware you have a legit license for console 1. ?

 

Hi Jaycee3000, can you confirm if your using Ilok with legit console 1? could you tell me what firmware your console is running on?
Bought a Console one, second hand last year, never got the licience from the previous owner. Been running R2R version, with no problems. would like to try the new console one software, but dont wanna install Ilok on my machine, is this possible or do you have to use Ilok to use newer version? Thanks.

 

if you don`t have an liscence then its not possible to use new version(ilock) and you need transfered from your seller to your account.....Even cannot understand to buy an Console without liscence used...(so you can only use R2R Version never Softubes ones)

But your Seller can still use new Legid one....with ne new sizeable Interface (even in the non Gui Version without the hardware);)

and yes legit new Version is working with old R2R Plugs .....i have to reinstall most of them then it works again

 

@genlab Thankyou for clarifying that for me. I bought it pretty cheap and can still use all the r2r stuff, so no big loss for me as Ive mapped it as a generic controller for other plugins aswell. Hopefully R2R will provide an updated version at some point.

 

So to clarify new facts: *IF* you use the legit Console 1 SOFTWARE (you need to have iLok software installed), you can still load the older R2R releases to be used on the legit version of Console 1 Software.

If the new Legit software works with old r2r release plugs why doesnt fader work?

 

How about he latest Console 1 firmware update released in oct/nov (?) 2023?

So far I've checked the new update with the Summit audio grand channel, eq and comp and it's working...also the Tape one but that version can only be used as a drive on the last insert because of its version 2.5.9. So it seems the new update still allow us to use the R2R versions

 

I tried it when it came out, the SSL, Chandler, British/American Class A strips all worked fine but any time I tried to load a project up that had the Weiss strip it would instantly crash Ableton and show a error message saying it needs to be updated to work with the new version of the Console 1 software.

Yep can confirm that the Weiss Strip and all the other Weiss Modules crash the plugin as well as the DAW (Ableton and Reaper). It can be due to the newest features they implemented for these plugins in Console 1, I think I read something similar on the Console 1 facebook group...
But all the other strips and the individual plugins that R2R released are STILL working perfectly with the update

Thank you! So all we need to do now is wait for a group to update the Weiss packs.

 

I tried r2r's with the latest Console 1 software. The Console versions of plugins does not work after update. Had to uninstall (and remove VST dll's manually since Softubes installer sucks ass).
The other Softube plugins works fine though.

Console 1 actual firmware is NOT upgraded btw. It's the same version as before. So it does not destroy anything to install..

 

OK, Just to make sure:
The latest version of console1 can be used with the strips without everything breaking?

I really love some of the strips but can't afford all of them and would hate to upgrade and loose functionality.
Reason i want to upgrade is I bought the Bus processor and it wont work in c1 without the latest version...

edit: Being an impatient sort, i upgraded.
crash: weiss gambit crashes the DAW.
All other strips seem to work!
