The world will self-destruct and collapse soon enough anyways, all the eartquakes,volcanic eruptions now happening worldwide, with all the oil pumped out of the earth snd the mineral mining leaving huge empty cavities and tunnels underground, so much destruction to the now fragile planet. An upcoming nuclear war will start and activate the collapse process and then finally peace in the universe a blue/green ball of shit explodes. So no worry about AI technology replacing us. Peace at last.

My plan is to go on being a pensioner. Should work out okay. I doubt there's any AI to take that over.

 

when the sun flares in 2046, most of the computer ai's will be memories as the power grid is destroyed. Of course most of humanity will also be memories as the sun facing side of the earth gets baked by the incoming solar deitrus. Suggest bunker themed music to include nature sounds like crickets and birds, could be a big seller to the uber rich for their survival bunkers, a vast untapped market.

Thanks for that video link which I found really interesting and very definitely left me more concerned about AI. In answer to your query, I'm not the slightest bit sure. I'm just offering an opinion based on what I know about how computer systems and programs work. My comment was directed specifically at the original question as to whether AGl is coming for our jobs. My answer still stands, I think. Forecasting the next number in the sequence (which is the fundamental process used in current AI) is an exercise in statistics and bears little or no relation to the kind of general intelligence that human beings display.

Having said that, the video very definitely makes the case that the proliferation of even non-intelligent AI has the potential to wreak havoc on the World including the jobs market. The presenters seem to have very good bone fides but I would like to see the video peer reviewed. I'm not sure that mind reading is as accurate as they suggest and I think that it may be of pretty limited use if an MRI scanner and a cooperative subject are required to do it.

 

I had the same experience watching the video, I entered that thread with one opinion, basing my reasoning on how far AI tools for music progressed, but later someone shared that video and yeah, I could see bigger threats than AI doing our music. Sincerely I'm much more worried about AI usage for destruction right now in military and surveillance sense, can't say I'm following development or news these days or last years, I decided to just stay dumb for my own well being, but you can't close you eyes and pretend everything is ok, when world is on the verge of another big war, it seems.

This is actually good business plan, maybe market reached saturation at this point with Italian named ones, but there's still room for more, doubt that people would rather lust to bang fake AI than fake human ghost produced female DJ, Instagram model, "producer", throw OnlyFans there and you have goldmine pretty much.

These days whole "I'm women now and my pronouns are" thing get's lot of attention too, so just put some nice wig, do some classy make up and demand equal rights and bam, your same boring music will get more exposure, AI can't really compete with that clout. Imagine whole transgender and whatnot Tomorrowland, goldmine.
