All NoiseAsh plugin crash Reaper. I uninstalled them with Revo, reinstalled as administrator but the problem is the same. I tried to change admin rights on vsts 3 folder and everywhere I found Noiseash files, folders but same problems. I downloaded demo on the website but still crashing.
It works with S1.

 

could be the OpenGL settings ? have you tried switching one to the other ?

 

i'm looking at the prestige racks manual, and the first 18 pages are installation info. On Mac, for some reason when you run new kg for Prestige Racks, it creates license file and then instead of saving to Mac desktop, it saves into the bottle created for the kg, in a directory which you cannot really directly access and Crossover does not let you select a different directory. The file cannot be found by Search of the wine hd, or the mac ssd. The license import of the offline activation says to select the file, but it actually needs to be the directory which contains it, like older Waves used to. Easily the strangest installation I have seen in a long time. It's like Mixbox but with 6 slots and a channel strip, 20 minutes of hunting later.

 

Create a folder to put your licences then choose it to unlock the plugins (you won't see anithyng in it but licences are there). Done!

i've had the same problem with one of their (legit) plugins and stopped using them.

 

Strange, this didn't happen here with any of their pluggies. Last Pro bundle EQs were a bit weird to activate but since it worked they're running fine. OpenGL off (was def setting and I didn't change it - so far).

 

I will try this, but this is the first time ever seeing it for me. I have installed all the other ones from them that have been available to test before. On MacOS you can do Shift+up arrow to move up one directory in the tree, like old /cd, and /cd.. and with these it is up two directories from "My Mac Desktop" which you will often see in WINE; where normally there is only one. thanks, i hope it works because that was very annoying; like when you need to choose something that is greyed out. After that, the plugin is working nicely in both Logic and Reaper.
They are selling it for $50 probably to compete with that recent Mixbox 1.5 pricing; good bang for the buck. Devs would be smart to notice they can sell 10 x $50 dollar plugins vs every 2 copies for $100. (just as an example).

 

I can use the plugins with Blue Cat audio Patchwork with no problems.

 

All Ruletecs versions crash all of my daws as well... I love them but I avoid them because of that... I'll try to switch that openGL settings

 

Did you ever try using a legit demo installer to see if it does the same thing? By Default, the OpenGL is disabled; but also they are set to 8X Oversampling. I think that is a very unusual default setting; or any oversampling enabled as the default setting, really.

 

Yes I tried but still crashing. I will use Blue cat audio patchwork. I really like some NoiseAsh plugins.
Oversampling or not, it's the same. Opengl or not it's the same : crash crash crah

Oh, I saw you already mentioned that about the demo in your first post. I was replying about the Ruletecs to @alonzo86. I only quickly tested the Prestige racks and the Ruletecs in Reaper 6 without a problem. They have always worked fine on Logic. Maybe both of you are running same Windows versions or something like that?

I do not like to use Patchwork. I love the thing for testing stuff like this out, but I do not like putting it into projects. If I have to use Patchwork to use something, I will usually just use something else instead. Wrappers are not really an ideal way to do stuff.

I found that oversampling in NoiseAsh plugins crash Reaper. Why? I don't know. So I use internal Reaper OS and everithyng works properly. I use X4 oversampling and I found i'ts enough. Cheers

I did it but same problem. Sometimes I Think it's a problem about admin rights. Some files needs admin rights an some don't. For example to delete temp file I need admin rigths and its the same for other part of my Windows 10 OS. And it's the same for my Laptop.I can't load them in plugin doctor. Weird.
Maybe I'm wrong. I should create a new fresh install, I guess, but I'm lazzy as hell. And I have to finish 4 mixes for a band.
I upgrade to Win11 and it's the same. Back to Win 10.
I read on forums some people have te same problem with Noiseash plugins.
I contacted the team when I tried their demos and the guy sent me back a plugin without oversampling. I think they are aware of this problem but can't find a solution. Maybe I'm a little bit conspirasionist!

Wasn't this vst3 related, with the vst2 working fine?

 

No Vst2 for NoiseAsh Plugins.
