Internet Download Manager (IDM) It's what i use (But cost money) and have never had any problems with it.. If you cant afford it you could probably find a torrent or something of it or get a free alternative like down them all..

Hi. I use JDownloader. It is free.

To tell you the truth, I have never used any other. Someone recommended it to me and it's never let me down. I can link my premium uploaded (or any other account). By simply copying the uploaded (or any other) link, it appears in JDownloader, if you have the clipboard function on. JDownloader let's you know if the link is available or dead. You can leave it downloading on its own and you can tell it how many simultaneous downloads you want (only with a premium account). For instance, I always have two downloads at a time, which uses less resources and brings files down quickly.

A nice touch is that when you find links you can even right click them (or right-click the folder that contains them) and set an extract / unrar password. So JDownloader even unrars all your files even if there are multiple layers/folder or rar files.

Also, with a premium uploaded (or any other) account you can start a download and then shut down your computer and resume once you turn it on again. Another feature, and one of my favourites, is that you can grab a bunch of links that you know are live, and save their information as a "container", so you can simply send the container to another JDownloader user, they double click it and JDownloader checks availability and starts download when you want; you can even set up the unrar password to these containers. I use that feature to keep links that I am planning to download in the near future, so I don't have to go searching for them again.

    Anyway, my two cents.

Good luck and if you try another manager, let us know. It doesn't hurt to see what else is out there.

If you're on Mozilla, DownThemAll could be an option too.

I like your avatar's tiger  (it's for sale? :dunno: )

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. Thanks zero-frag.

When you install JDownloader it will ask you many times if you want to also download this or that. Just say NO or SKIP. What's annoying is that some of them ask if you want it and you can say NO or SKIP, but others simply say something like "you want to go ahead and instal Xxxxx?". In those you just select CANCEL, it doesn't mean that it will cancel the installation of JDownloader, but it's deceiving and very annoying. I guess those "ads" are what keep JDownloader free.

And also some say "I Agree" & "Cancel" and he can easely choose Cancel, because if he reads carefuly, he will knew that any suspicious "Agreement" requests in the instalation steps it should be avoided. Big Eyes :wow: are the cure.

Internet Download Manager (IDM) (windoze) is rock solid and superb if used with any Premium account share service or free user sites that allow resumable downloads such as firedrive (ex putlocker), billion uploads, 180, hugefiles, mediafire, zippyshare etc etc etc.

If you intend to have a premium account and download many files at a time - IDM is for sure your best bet.

Download Them All (firefox addon) is workable for the odd download here and there.

I wouldn't touch JDownloader personally unless you really have to. I've tried it a number of times through its development and it just seems sloppy.

I highly rated Speed Download for OSX but yazsoft have closed up & as IDM is also available for X now (though wasn't back when) I'd still say IDM for OSuX also.

Try all the suggestions here :break: - they all have demo's or are free so thats the 1 true way of seeing what suits your needs best....

I suggest JDownloader 2 beta as well. It's very stable and feature-packed (automatic extract, premium accounts support etc).

You can also add new links or manage your current downloads thanks to its dedicated Android app. Plus it's free
