    To your sense of satiety.
Because usually, most people have the habit of continuing to eat until they are full, and at the end, they fill the remaining space in their stomach with drinks.
If X is the amount of food that makes you feel full, can you eat half of X food in each meal instead?

The answer to this question lies in your current BMI. If you're skinny you shouldn't eat less. If you're obese you should eat less because obesity brings a lot of health issues, most of them which can and will give you a shorter life. Lastly, eating less means YOU'LL SPEND LESS ON FOOD = more money for gear, vacations, your kids if you have any.
Eating less is hard or impossible if you have issues and/or insecurities in your life. Eating less takes effort, you have to fight the strongest urge humans have. Guess what the second strongest urge is..

We as a culture keep making meals larger, portions larger. The incessant need to trough upon snacks is not good either.

Sitting for hours on end. Sitting at desks, sitting in car. Processed North American foods are extremely unhealthy. Wheat and other grains were modified in the 1960s, to make them more hardy - to the detriment of human consumption. Excess sugar and salt in everything.

Look to the countries that have the most long-lived peoples. Look at what they eat. See what is missing from our diets. A diet high in other grains and vegetables, with moderate amounts of animal products and soy but minimal dairy and fruit.

    Seaweeds.

    Pickled foods. Fermented foods.

Dishes that incorporate fermented components, anti-oxidants, omega 3’s, and clean eating. All of these factors can lead to incredibly healthy bodies. Fermented foods are known to fight bacteria while omega 3s support brain function and growth.

While their diets are high in the qualities listed above, they are also low in sugar, saturated fats, preservatives, and processed ingredients, which help their bodies digest and absorb calories with peak efficiency.

Limit the red meat. I'm not saying stop eating it, it's tasty.

Eat plain nuts. (Not steeped in flavouring/salt)

Eat veggies. (Pizza is not a vegetable)

Increase olive, flaxseed, sesame, canola oil intake, stay away from other oils like:
    • Corn oil: full of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which can increase inflammation in the body.
    • Soybean oil: puts you at risk for heart disease, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
    • Sunflower oil: contains high levels of Omega-6 fatty acids, which can increase inflammation in the body.
    • Partially hydrogenated oil: the primary source of unhealthy trans fats in a person’s diet.
    • Palm Oil: high in saturated fat and can increase your risk of heart disease.
    • Coconut oil: may enhance your LDL cholesterol levels.
Limit the vitamins. The food you eat should have all the vitamins you require unless you have a specific doctor recommended requirement.

Forget the silly concepts of superfoods and detox cleansings - it's a gimmick.

    And finally...
Don't drink your pee, consume horse tranquilizers, ingest Colloidal silver, or other Homeopathic nonsense that does nothing concrete, and is possibly the ultimate grift of the 21st Century. - Seriously.

These are great tips. Thank you for your post.

Many people are not able to change their diet to use these great ingredients that you mentioned. Because usually they are either expensive or maybe people don't like their taste.

There are many people who follow the advice you said.

Many of the current foods contain the harmful substances you mentioned. In a situation where it is not possible to prepare and consume healthy food, is it possible for a person to reduce the volume of his food so that at least less harmful substances reach his body?

If a person eats little food, unfortunately, he cannot benefit much from this incredible, intense and irresistible urge.

I always thought the urge to tell someone on some forum, when there's a PC/Mac, DAW, 0 dBFS, music theory... heaven forbid politics debate, that he or she is a retarded paramecium is pretty much up there. You will shit your pants for that.

But yeah, people get very nervous when their capacity to breathe is compromised.. or R2R don't intervene in hours...

How is it not possible to always have the option of healthy eating? The main reason why people chose not to take the healthy option isn't cost (although, it can be a factor) but it is the time it takes to prepare.
I mean. I have heard people who are morbidly obese use the line. 'Oh I cant eat healthy, it's too expensive', yet they somehow find money for smoking, vaping, weed, take away, (which can be more expensive,) mega fast internet. So I don't buy it, it's just a terrible excuse, because If you WANT to eat healthy at an affordable price? You can.

I grew up in a family that encouraged three meals a day (at least), allowed a certain amount of sugar every day, and we had to eat everything on the plate. This was engrained in my psyche and eventually lead to gaining a certain amount of weight over what I consider healthy. I am 6' tall and at my heaviest I was 220 lbs. That was about seven years ago. Since I hit 220lbs I have adapted to an intermittent fast style diet. I only eat within a four hour window everyday, which is basically a late afternoon smoothie consisting of kale, almond milk and fruit. Then I eat dinner a couple of hours later and that is it. This was somewhat difficult to get used to. I went my whole childhood and early adulthood eating whatever, whenever. But I would say within six months of starting I was so used to it that if I did eat outside of the window I didn't like the way it felt on my stomach and I would feel sluggish. Part of this process was also reducing how much I eat when I do eat. At first I would be so hungry from not eating all day that I would overdo how much I would eat for dinner. Now I have incorporated a strategy where I fill my plate, but I try to only eat half, and if I do go over half I take it one bite at a time and stop when I feel full. For anyone who wants to see a dramatic change in weight and the way you feel I would recommend trying this, but being cautious if you have conditions that will not allow for sustained fasting. I now weigh 170lbs. My goal is 165lbs. I also make sure to stay active. I take bike rides and try to get at least 15K steps a day, if not more.

I did this for a few months but rather gained weight and did not feel comfortable with it. I was constantly hungry during the fasting period (I cope better with eating almost nothing for several days :dunno:).

Than I stopped thinking about my weight and started to run for 1/2 hour every single day since Nov last year. Not more . Nothing else. And I felt muuuch better since almost from the first day.
Without thinking about it, I lost about 10lbs this way, as I noticed after half a year. Since then I have not weighed myself, but still feel great.

So I think not every method for living a bit healthier is for everyone.

the thing with intermittent fasting is that people need to do exercise too,if you gain weight is because you was eating too much carbs
you need to watch what you eating.

im not overweight but i like to do intermittent fasting because it has many health benefits

I joined a gym six months ago but haven't made any progress. I'm going there in person tomorrow to find out what the problem is.

i think mastering the art of eating and not eating and balancing out the both will make u live longer over eating can over work the body takes a while for it to break all of that food down and that being said abusing that will give u health problems so taking a long break from eating like 3 days or 2 will get the body back on the balance it needs to be ....so i would say mastering both of eating and not eating
