    This 100%

I'ts already been my favorite synth/sampler for years. I updated a few hours ago and just going through some of the new features and presets... WOW. It really is a "one synth to rule them all" set up.

My only complaint is how large some of these UVI libraries are. They do sound incredible but I hope in the near future they figure out a way to optimize all of these into smaller format. Maybe even recreate them in some kind of physical modeling engine.

    Maybe.
    Or...
A raptor is also a bird of Prey in Ornithology.

A FALCON is also a raptor, then.

Yup! Won't be doing any playing around with falcon "updates" until ze crack surfaces. Ur maybe one can simply apply ze update to a crack'd v2.x und presto! Cracked v3.0

Falcon is one of the most powerful soft synth on the market and the only missing thing is a dedicated controler.

That would help using the insane power of this synth in a live environment.

UVI, I really hope that you are reading this thread.

You are probably referring to the sample libs released by UVI, not just some synth patches which explains their size.

But even these libs size are quite reasonable compared to what we already have with Kontakt.

I don't think so. They haven't cracked iLok for macOS. Seems like they surrendered in this case.

Ive purchased nearly everything UVI has released and while some of their libraries are reasonably sized, others are pretty hefty. I understand that the larger libraries are sampling actual instruments and they go pretty deep with it but some things like their FM, JP and Kawai Suites all border in the 30 GB range each. Thats almost 100 GB for 3 libraries. Maybe we're not there just yet with the technology but with AI driven stuff like Synplant getting released recently, I hope that not too long in the distant future they can streamline all the work they've done so far in a more optimal way and maintain the same quality.

If only they would do something about their questionable infrastructure ... Each and every time they release something new or an update like Falcon 3.0 with a new library, the downloads are fucked up big time. Several retries with errors and download speed like a dead snail. Do other companies have the same kind of problems (didn't notice yet)?

I recently purchased IK Multimedia's Sampletank 4 Max, and downloading all the libraries was a real pain in the ass.
You'd have to download the libraries in several Rar files (only 10 at a time), and then have to extract them AND then install them. And the worst part was that nearly every 3rd or 4th download got aborted and had to be redownloaded again.
And the whole library is 600 GB, so you can imagine the pain.

Their Portal license manager application is often like this, and worse at times of high interest/traffic. Don't use it.

Go to the site, click My UVI. It will give you the option to Open or Download their Portal software. Below it in very small text there is a link: >> You can also register and download your UVI products at uvi.net/my-products

Use that and you can download the files inside your web browser. That program Portal is a nuisance and always slow comparatively. It also works using an older computer, if Portal minimum system requirements are an issue. It is not blazing fast either, but way better than Portal speeds. At least for me.

Oh well, we'll know what that pupkin eating raptor will be at the end of this month. After reading that mega teaser they truly made me feel they have the "Reverse to Rule Them All" to their disposal.

I'm also pretty delighted to see that Falcon 3.0 is a free update. UVI Portal downloaded it faster than me breaking wind after eating a good portion of Chicken Vindaloo. It's going to be a very nice weekend.

Very, very pleasantly surprised it's a free upgrade for existing users.
Never really liked full on "power synths" like Omnisphere or Falcon, but I know a lot do. Hope this update improves your workflow!

Team R2R is not an macOS Team they are focused on Windows. If they Release Windows/Mac Stuff together this goes for Releases with Keygens, because you can use the Keygen on macOS via CrossOver.

As a Synth better than Omnisphere, but for Preset Guys Omnisphere is more hyped, because there are a lot of commercial Songs which use Omnisphere presets.

Since they are now owned by Image-Line aka the FL Studio or Fruity Loops Guys which have a Lifetime Update License for their DAW it's cool they doing the same with Falcon at least for this Update who knows what the future might bring.

If you compare it to Kontakt Libz, the size is okay for what you get Quality wise. Yeah Synplant is nice but its focused on simple Sounds not complex ones maybe in the Future we will see more like this, but i hope they will not rely on permanent internet connection like Emergent Drums. I used Backbone and Synplant a lot in the last time and its fun to create unique Drums & Patches and all that without the need of an Internet Connection.
