I installed a Reaper theme iLogic last version.
This theme came with a config file which in loaded after I made a backup of my config file.
    I finally uninstalled the Theme
    And re-imported my config file.
Even so, my tool bar is missing even the basic buttons.

How could I get back my config or at least the default one for the tool bar?

EDIT: I should have shown a screenshot, here it is:

I'm not an Reaper user but it sounds like something was broken by uninstalling the Theme, i think a deinstall with Revo and reinstall should fix that or is this not an option?

I would like to avoid a complete uninstall and re install from scratch as I'd like to keep my configurations and preferences.

Reaper does not have restore default config functionality,
for your needs, you can install another (portable) Reaper instance, run it at least once, export its "default" config (everything), and then import only what you need in your main Reaper instance (and you should totally make full config backup of your current main Reaper beforehand as well)

either way, watch this video thoroughly for details:

What do you refer to exactly, reaper-themeconfig.ini?

Have you tried a backup of the reaper.ini?

how exactly u did that, one way is to go to pref.>general>export config and re import if necessary. if so u sure u ticked the box on the left.
One thing to try is to install a version of Reaper, which u already have upon the same directory, and try the default theme.

As u mentioned icons missing. Folders does not contain toobar icons but theme packs do. check inside the folder named 'colorthemes' there u ll c all ur themes. For ex. "Default_6.0.ReaperThemeZip" u can copy it to a different location rename from "Default_6.0.ReaperThemeZip" to "Default_6.0.ReaperTheme.Zip" and upack to c all the icons inside.

So, to check this without unpacking is to open Reaper right click on any Default toolbar, click customize toolbar and below on the icon box right click any icon, which will take to to the icon selection box if thats empty we need a different solution.

Edit: forgot this, toolbar icons will be under Reaper>Data>toolbar_icons. Did u check that folder?

The complete reaper config file, located in C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\Configurations
    called *.ReaperConfigZip

But now, I think I know what happened. When I backed up my config file, I probably didn't checked all the boxes, and the "menu and toolbars" was not saved.
I will export from another Reaper on another computer and import this only.

its a better idea to copy the default toolbar icons from a default theme and paste in data toobar icons folder and check first.

I guess that I only have 2 solutions now:
    - Customize the toolbar to get back to the normal one, as I never modified it.
    - Uninstall completely and reinstall from scratch.

I'll try the first one before going to zero...

Edit, so I've done this, I recreated my toolbar, and while I was on it, i made it better for my needs.

There is still one thing that I'd like to know is how is it possible to recuperate only the toolbars from a config file, or is this not possible?
I tried, from my first backup, selecting toolbars, but it didnt import the olds toolbar.
And I just tried again, by saving all the config from my new config with the new tool bar, then import the problematic config, and then import the last config, but again, the toolbar was not imported if I only selected toolbars, I could only have my toolbar back by importing the whole config file.

Thank you guys for all your help. :mates::wink:

Of course it does, bcauz Reaper saves all the config. in 'reaper.ini' file. All the small things that u move around in Reaper in ur machine is saved on that file. Importing from a different computer wont work.
it looks like a custom theme, did u manage to fix the issue. If u didnt and want to
    U can try these.
Use the default theme, reason being if u check with the default theme and all the default toolbar icons works, it just means the config with that custom theme is fucked. maybe reinstalling that specific theme fresh might solve the issue. but the icons u custom made will be lost. Becauz the u all ready imported the config. file which was rewritten in the reaper.ini

reaper.ini just contains the tags for the custom action with the corresponding icons which are stored
1.in the custom theme if u picked it from there or
    2.in Appdata>Roaming>Reaper>Data>toolbar_icons, it depends
From the looks of it, seems like u installed a custom theme and made icons from actions and picked an icon. so the former.

While checking with default theme check
for icon under Appdata>Roaming>Reaper>Data>toolbar_icons, it depends
u can open Reaper from option click show resource path
use the attached file, its a zip file just unpack and open folder "Default_6.0_unpacked" it contains all default icons copy paste under Appdata>Roaming>Reaper>Data>toolbar_icons, just paste if there are extra icons on your folder its ok.

@Olymoon have you tried resetting the toolbar, then re-importing your custom toolbar?

What happens if there wasnt a backup b4, wat to import :dunno:.
Dosent reset restores it to default. i havent tried it just asking.
Edit: just tested, it just restores to default. If its custom i.e started from from blank toolbar, it will just go empty. U need to have a backup first.

Getting it back to default was one of his requests in his original post.

On the screenshot I posted earlier, there is the option to export/import custom toolbar/s.

yes thats the issue, i belevie there is no backup to go back to, or atleast i assume. But OP has said anything, the problem was i think when he made a config backup there was nothing in it, and the same was imported and reaper.ini was overwritten with that setting.
