AI Foreign Audio Translation in TV Shows

    Dunno if people watch 'The Traitors' in English... I've done them all and started watching the foreign versions with subtitles, which is pretty difficult...

    Got me wondering, is there an audio translation yet? Some kind of AI software that can take an entire video and convert any language into English speakers?

    If not, how long do you think we'll wait to see that tech?

    Been waiting for AI to help with subtitles too, i.e. from any spoken language to your preferred subs.

    Does this take the audio from say a French video and dub English audio?

    All of these series have already been Subtitled and converted, so you can watch them whilst reading, but I'd love to get an English dub instead.

    Whatever this software does they aren't making it very clear and they want details before they show you what its all about... Fuck that! Show me first!!

    I think its not possible at this Point. Whats possible is from Voice to Subtitle like on YouTube but its far away from beeing perfect. If their would be such an AI which could take the Orginal Voices and than dub it to all different Languages a lot of Voice Actors would be without a job. To answer the question on how long it will take for something like this coming out i would say not in the near future maybe in 10 Years but it's hard to say.

    Its not what I'm asking... Its 'how long until we see software that can input French audio and output English (*EDIT) audio' in real time, not subtitles.

    @BlackHaze1986 probably answered it, expected in maybe 10 years.
