ERROR: Integrity Check Failure
If you encounter this error, you need to block your DAW's incoming and outgoing streams through your firewall, go into Synplant 2 options and uncheck " Auto-check for updates ", close the DAW , open it again and see if the "Auto-check for updates" checkbox is there. if not, you can use it normally...
Note : For Reaper, this needs to be done twice - remove the update check from the plugin inside and outside the plugin rack.

Is that the only issue with the release, auto-update is on by default?

 

In my case, yes, I'm doing the test right now, I've been at it for 45 minutes and it's working so far.

 

For Bitwig, I found I had to set the plug in Per-Plug Overrides as well or it would continue to reset the state back to auto update, then error.

 

WHY, would you be running a live internet connection on a production machine in the first place?

 

Great find. My box has been offline almost 5 years. Just unticking 'check for updates' is the trick. VST3 been up for 3 hours without a single 'Integrity Check Error'

What do you mean? I've loaded more instances and none of those are re-enabled to auto check.

Restarted the DAW, new project + Synplant2 loaded, auto upload was NOT re-enabled.

 

I successfully patched away that error/timebomb + I removed the intermodular "Wininet.InternetConnect" call
(so the plugin is not able to even try to connect to the net). Works with no issues here. If the cracker wants the patches,
he/she should write me a pm, I don't care about sharing them so they can finish their "working" release.

Alot of reasons .. not everyone pirates everything which still needs checks and subscriptions like arcade

 

I'm not super familiar with synthplanet is it normal when you try to grab one strand or root as you would say it goes crazy and bugs out to a completely different patch? And every parameter you try to change it also goes crazy? Or is it because it's still tied to the internet? I turned auto updates off

 

Nope that's counter crack/patch-behaviour. I had the same behaviour before switching off auto-updates, but haven't had these problems since disengaging the option,

Fascinating. Some of us dont just play around in a DAW on our laptop once in a while, its a bit more serious than a spotify subscription.

Also as much as californians in the tech industry might think the whole world has free easy access to internet 24/7, and to have the right to use tech these days you have to practically sell your soul to google, thats not the case actually.

 

The only reasons to keep your "production computer" off the internet is:
a) you are worried your cracked plugins and other software will escape past your firewall and dime you out.
b) you are running an Operating System with so many exploits against it you freely admit your inability to deal with the amount of critical vulnerabilities
c) LE attention or interns reading their emails and downloading files.
