I've been using Cubase on aand off since I bought Cubase VST in the late 90's and the CPU usage is appalling in C12, The C11 I bought was a bit better but compared to Reaper it is terrible. Even using SCAN built and customised £2.5k i9-12900K 3.20 GHz.. It needs knocking down and rebuilding from the ground up, full of old code and bloatware.

You are funny First no cursing in here.
They have been fixing there code for years now. LOL Oh when oh when will that old code be done with. LOL

As far as the most mature Hmm It defiantly has a pretty GUI if that is what you are into to make music.

I had purchased Cubase 7 a while back. Paid to update to 7.5 paid In between for bug fixes also.
Just got tired of them ripping me off ( Nickel and Dimming me ).
I dumped it and went to Reaper. I can say honestly I can do anything in Reaper that Cubase can do,
Yes Reaper is not as GUI pretty but to me I want to make music not look at a pretty GUI.
Now as you know I could be using 12 but I am not every one in a while I open 12 up just to give it a whole and then jump right back to Reaper.
The only thing I can honestly say I miss about Cubase is relevance. But it's not enough for me to go back.

Yes asknet their seller went bankrupt so no C13 before they have a new shop. Could be why it was not released earlier. no idea if it will be weeks or months before they have a new online shop.

Probably because some of us actually buy our shit and like to get work done in a stable and consistent manner, instead of jumping from DAW to DAW every time a new crack is released?

That is a pretty small number. Most people here using Cubase have only been doing so since Cubase changed protections; either for the first time or first time in a long time. If you do not know the DAW inside and out, it doesn't really matter which you use. True proficiency doesn't happen in a year, and it's also why you do not see very many users having advanced problems in it. Everything on the surface is great with any of them.

Very true, after using Cubase for the past 20 years, my complaints and the complaints I see here are just very different in nature.
