    Hello,

RX doesn't support VST3 natively hence I'm looking for recommendations for the wrappers that could enable me to run VST3 plugins in it, preferably the lightest, smallest and with as few features as possible.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure current RX 10 supports third-party VST3 plugins just fine, make sure it's enabled in settings

So BlueCat MB-7 should also work for this, too. He doesn't want lots of features, but I would keep it in mind then. You can put 7 bands with 2 insert vst,vst3, or AU plugins on each one, plus some basic channel strip functions and fx. I only use AU format plugins in Logic, so vst is just keeping duplicates.

Thanks Xorome, phenomenal stuff. First one is the exact what I'm looking for though I'm keeping the second one too :P

Agreed, it's an amazing plugin with tons of features and definitely a keeper though in this case I want something minimal. I have made a backup on my cloud.

Many thanks Artic for the suggestion, your help is highly appreciated.

I've been using RX 8 and when RX10 first came around, I updated to try it and suddenly realize it needs Edge WebView to be installed, really ? but why ? No thanks.

Just yesterday I updated to check if the newest version brings any benefits, apparently it has dropped the dependency on the Edge Web View but alas! except for increased file sized, bigger memory footprint and that Google's spyware TensorFlow, it has nothing more to offer (except support for VST3)

I would have upgraded just for this feature alone, ignoring all the other factors but it needs pagefile to be enabled on system which I have disabled. Why do I necessarily need pagefile to be able to run it ? If it's short on memory, it should ask for more but why there's no option if I want to use pagefile or not ? As someone said yesterday in another thread, can't figure out if the devs are lazy or inept. Hence I'm going alternate routes to be able to use VST3 plugins in RX8.

I have written extensively to iZotope support about the bugs and improvement suggestions but none got implemented. Also the fact that the devs wake up to support most basic features 10 years all too late leads me to believe all Microsoft guys are working in iZotope. It can't be a coincidence.

Sorry, long post. Thank you tzzsmak for taking interest in my topic and providing valuable insight, your contribution is highly appreciated.

@ceo54 ah understood, well in that case I'd be careful about bridging plugins, may not work that well,
you sure you need to use plugins inside RX instead of just loading things into a DAW?
