I like where you are going with it, generally. And kudos for publishing your stuff. that lead around :30-:40 was clashing with something, but i am on laptop speakers. It's plenty loud. i couldnt understand the lyrics very well but hey, i couldnt understand most of Cobain's lyrics either. Or eddie Ved. So maybe you're going for that purposefully. Loved the guitar solo...but that other screeching guitar(?) lead just kept distracting me.

I did like it though and I am interested in seeing where you go with this stuff!

    I love the song.

The guitar tone are really awesome and so are the drums tone as well. The vocals seem also to be on point on the tone side but sadly, we can barely hear them.

There's a few timing issues here and there and mostly the vocals are too low in gain but its a good song that deserve to be correctly recorded in my opinion.

    Good job.

Oh wow. I thought this was dead on arrival and no one commented, so I'm just now seeing this. Not sure why I didn't get a notification. But thanks man! Vocals too low was mentioned elsewhere too; I've since raised them. The guitars were a nightmare! The almost Belew-like dueling panned guitars was sent to me by a Japanese friend of mine already processed. Though I like what he played, the guitar stems themselves were super thin and high-ended with very little "body." I tried everything to tone down the shrill and fake some sort of low mid body, and just ended up doing my best with a de-esser ~2-3k. If I had taken away too much top, hardly any tone would have been left.

Those timing issues were probably my sloppy bass (I mainly play guitar, like the panned fuzzy rhythm guiars). If I get un-lazy, I could always re-record my parts. Thx guy. Appreciate you listening.

i like this one. the vibe of the vocal, like @drumstuff mentioned already, and the drastic stereo placement of some of the guitar parts reminded me alot of the mix on most of this record:

(and a little The Jesus Lizard and some other Touch 'N Go stuff, too).

Cool song, mix could do a lot of work. Or maybe not, it has a certain underground vibe to it as it is ;)

Well, I guess that brought on a big enough smile. Thanks a lot man. Encouragement, like constructive criticism, never hurts.

I was shooting for an Indie type vibe, but still, what would you suggest about improving the mix otherwise?

Had a critical listen, but on second thought the mix is pretty good lol. I love it the way it is. Your vocals are great. I guess things could be more balanced & glued (sometimes the volume goes up and down at 00:44 and 3:11, compressor settings?), but maybe more cohesion wouldn't actually suit this song now would it?

Indeed it would. Made a note in Reaper to check balances in the next attempt. Thx!
