    Hey Guys!

Just wanted to share something I found out lately.

My HP Notebook behaved strange after installing several different 4tb SSD.
    I tried a WD Black, a Kingston Nv2, a Kingston Fury Renegade and a Lexar NM790.
With 3 drives I had random BSODs, the NV2 had no blue screens, but was VERY slow.
The system felt sluggish to a point where I considered it as unusable.

So I googled and found that these issues should either be fixed by the ssd manufacturer (firmware update) or the board/notebook manufacturer by bios update.
Now HP (after several HPs I hate the brand) sais "we won't fix, specs say 2tb max, go fys", WD Black would have a firmware update but was a tight fit because of its board layout, the other drives have none.
The drive I liked most was the Lexar. It was a good fit, as it only had chips on one side, it stayed rather cool and it was fast - but no firmware update.

So I did some research and some people said testing different NVMe drivers from different manufacturers could work. I'm on Win10, but people say the BSODs are the same in Win11. That means ditching the MS driver and forcefully installing an other driver.
I tested Samsung, Intel and Micron drivers. The Micron driver made the BSOD appear less often, but didn't fix it entirely.
Then I fould a driver from Solid that was from April 23, it was the most up to date one - that one fixed it for good. Have it running for several days now and even had stress tests on cpu plus gpu plus ssd run over night. all perfectly stable.

Its the SolidNVMe driver v2.2.0.1017 and I'm gonna attach it here.
So maybe someone who has the same problem is happy about that.

A real fix, not a question. Nice. Replying just for giving this more visibility

I don't have this issue at all. But this is the type of post that should be more visible. Thanks for posting a problem WITH the solution. It is rare.

I was having this issue when trying to launch some applications. This only occurred when I installed the new 4tb NM790. Turns out, there were StoreMI drivers installed in the storage controller via device manager. I replaced these drivers with the standard AHCI MS drivers and MAGIC! For some unknown reason the drive wanted to be set up in a RAID configuration.
