Checked quickly with Realphones, yeah, your bass is distorting, Night Club, all the car's and etc, really trust this thing, checked tons of music with it. I would lower the volume and than engage low shelf until it sounds balanced/right, maybe would give speakers few moments to breathe too, leave little space without a bass, just so they relax for a second or play with bass envelope a little so it decays before it hits again.

There's one mix with the masters Jaycen Joshua video, where he talks about how he approaches mixing that kind of bass in some track, worth watching.

I tried with realphone too, can't hear distortion in no one of the simulations (car and club too), hearing with a dt800. Instead hearing it in different (real) cars.. but i desire to be able hearing it in my studio too :trashing: (8" with sub + mixcube + beyer headphones)

Do you have a small omnidirectional diaphragm microphone to measure your room response at your listening position?

If not, can you move out ( standing up ) to the other end of your room at about 8 inch from your back wall and tell me what and how you hear your song ?

Talking of which, how's your monitor configured in your room ? Whats the dimension (of your room ) and where are they positioned ?

I'm using Fluid Audio Focus headphones with 100% correction, they aren't sounding that exciting for music listening, but they pick up flaws easily, sibilance, distortion and all that, affordable too, come with custom version of Realphones, but I'm using full version I bought before I owned them. Dunno, default settings I use expose too much low end easily, because commercial tracks with hefty low end are so close to distorting them, anything above that just craps them out. In contrary, my Fluid Audio FX8 can take a beating, but when air is blowing in my face, I know I went too far with it, still it sounds good, but I don't trust that speakers for low end, they really can take a beating and sound exciting.
