Anyone know if there will be any issues with a legit Tonex pedal and software, alongside r2r T-Racks? The problem I foresee is r2r says to have IK blocked in the hosts, and Tonex will need access. If the blocks in the host file are removed, would that kill the r2r T-Racks as soon you load it up in the DAW?

 

You should take their word for it, that it will lock you out or revert back to demo eventually; if not immediately. i do not think I have seen any R2R instructions where they instruct you to firewall anything; maybe someone does. This could because they think people may screw up firewall rules, or it can mean that it will not work. Using hosts is a sure-fire way for the user to do it effectively and with no additional software needed to run their release.

You could try to possibly firewall in all the T-Racks plugins and any application files to block them from connecting to the internet. It's better to stick to the instructions; but maybe you want to live dangerously. (or do more research into how it phones home)
