I was young and had very recently begun my vegan lifestyle and hadn't a sophisticated knowledge of nutrition, plus didn't put much thought into how I would feed myself.

I still stand by my 'tasteless' statement..even though steaks taste pretty good. Absolutely nothing wrong with poking fun of an 'influencer' that worked hard to earn her Darwin award. And the amount of people that are shocked this article was written in a sensationalist style with clear misinformation is hilarious by itself. You all are so worked up over something that was meant as a joke from my end, such sensitive little people. Many more important things to get worked up over than this...

Because of a clever click-bait headline meant to cause a stir, we have learned that a person who was vegan with an eating disorder unfortunately died of starvation. A person who dies of starvation by the very definition doesn't ingest enough food/nutrition to physically prosper and survive. The hundreds of millions of vegans in the world, if having enough food/nutrition do not die of starvation unless they are destitute and live in a local famine/war zone or have an eating disorder and are without assistance of some kind. I would I am quite sure be within bounds to say that more people who starve to death around the world are non-vegan by percentage and ratio, yet we never would see a headline stating "Meat Eater Dies of Starvation". Now please read my first sentence again in the context of the rest.

Let's move on.
