As the tittle suggests. Found them in my guitar IR collection that I randomly downloaded some time ago while organizing them today. Googled (or rather DuckDuckGo-ed) but no result.

Found something easier to understand, it's actually the old Peavey Revalver IR format. Never used that plugin.

I heard some people still a big fan of that plugin. Is it still relevant these days ? is there any good release/version on sister site to try ?

I remember. It had insane features beyond a typical ampsim. Like a "plugin doctor" for every module, including one module that could host any import any VST.
You could export freq response as an IR wav. First plugin I used for EQ matching.
I think I even made a videotut and posted it here but I was very drunk

Surprisingly enough I was able to find it. But the video is gone.
One important thing to consider though. The VST hosting doesn't work even for many VST2 plugins.
I seem to recall the reason was that plugin is so old it was developed with VST (SDK) v2.3. Since a lot of years ago VST2 plugins are v2.4, the final VST2 SDK. That makes it frequently crash with "modern" VST2 plugins, sadly.

If you still want to have some laughs at me... writing a totally senseless poll like 6 years ago... here it is:

Actually Revalver is a deep plugin with the amount of tweaking you can do, right down to the tube level. Check out this review of it on the SOS site: Peavey ReValver 3 (soundonsound.com) And yes, it does use the EWAV file format for the cabinet IRs, but the review says you can plug WAV IRs in there also if you want.
