vst3 it work! But I dont have any the idea how to use it I put on the drum loop and it cuts and repeats and other stuff but is not clear how to REALLY control things to make something can use. Its really glitchy and all over the place the "cuts" processing. I moved dials and push the button but not much change from the sound. Maybe better only for the random glitchy noises? Anyone know the good tutorial or something? ty
This page says there is no Manual. it's a glitch machine. It is a live beat-slicer but instead of manipulating equal chunks of audio like most beatslicer do, it works on the notion of audio *cuts* whose length and number of repetition depends on the context and the cutting procedure. *Cuts* are organized in *blocks* which then form a *phrase*. see Image below. And each phrase can be ended by a *roll* or *fill*. https://chilloutwithbeats.com/en/livecut-intro/#toc3 https://softpedia-secure-download.c...oftware/multimedia/plugin/LiveCut-0.9.dll.zip. this is the compiled .vst for PC? It is a Dynamic Linking Library file, as expected. Last edited: Jul 29, 2023
Hmm.. the photo you put looks like older version because some button and slider missing. i just download the "Livecut-GUI.vst3" from your link and only drop into vst3 folder and it works. Is on windows 10. edit: I see the new version in the video. watch now.
the video guy also say he have no idea whats each slider and button do I try it on the house beat with percussion and it sound unusable with too much "cut" going on.. so I need figure out how to tame this for better result!
wait what I just wrote was wrong, Im stoned. resampling the audio might help! or it's just a matter of messing with the sliders more. or
Originals devs documentation is here. Explains Modes, parameters, etc. https://web.archive.org/web/20120201165540/http://mdsp.smartelectronix.com/doc/index.php/Livecut
If it was brand new 7 months ago it'll be running Ventura. Catalina was a few years ago when the big change to 64-bit code happened. To check - Apple icon top left of your screen then 'About this Mac'
i was just being sarcastic I mean, there is a lot of random information for OS vst support version, and not always accurate.
Mostly true however there is this I came across a few years back. Even if I had Catalina, don't think I would do it: Spoiler: (Re)enable 32-bit Support in macOS Catalina https://xentutor.medium.com/test-publication-b3d0328fd936
today I received a mail, who understands how to build it? You'll need to build it locally, no one distributes binaries right now I think. The most solid source for it today is here: https://github.com/eventual-recluse/LiveCut Last edited: Aug 1, 2023
It literally explains how to compile it on that page: You can download Xcode for free from the Apple App Store.
