    that is not meant silly or something.
    Simply deactivate the windows update and keep alarmed for public 0day exploits and install them manual.

    (In the last 15 years i had serious performance issue with windows updates, from having processes taking up one complete core, to unusability till finding the culprit after the new windows update. This got a lot better as CPU got my cores, but still, i dont want any useless windows process taking up any cores, if it wasnt necessary, also windows update does change windows settings.)

    About the AMD CPU and the better performance, the higest CPU Core i have is 8, so i didnt notice it.

    Yes, you can. You may run the same copy of Windows/updates/daw/plugins on AMD.
    I would recommend trying on the fresh Windows first.
    My way: I have been blocking the regular Windows updates (I only run system pack updates, like 22H2 update). I block nearly all communication with a custom firewall(not the Windows one).
    Yes, I have had problems with the Universal Audio card, so I blocked the CPU boost in the BIOS as suggested (no problems after that).
