I don't know how to update my Trilian. I believe it's a .dll not a standalone. I installed all 5 discs, and I can get bass sounds. I don't know what I'm missing in the updates, I could just keep it as is. But I am curious. I have some v1.6.4 files but I dont know how to update.

When I attempt opening Setup Trilian v1.6.4d it asks me to direct it to destination location. I believe mine is D:\Program Files\ProgramDataTrilian\Spectrasonics\STEAM\Trilian. I hit next, then it asks me if I want to select components Standalone, VST2 x64(whats this), VST3 x64(whats this), AAX x64. I'm planning on using it with my DAW so I don't know which I need.
Windows 10 64x. Don't I want to update my .dll? I've stopped at this step because I don't want to mess it up. I'm not even sure if I got the Full Release version.

    Any help is appreciated.

You misspeled the developer, it's Spectrasonics, please correct the title.

    Edit:
    Dammit, I edited it myself...

can you not simply open the explorer and search for the STEAM folder?

The plugin usually goes into your Plugin directories, the setup should auto find them for you.

Depending on the version # Trilian will have a standalone app which the setup would update along with everything else.

AAX is for protools. If you dont have protools or dont use it you dont need AAX at all. VST2x64 and VST3x64 are both industry standard plugin types and should be installed. Unless your daw doesn't use or understand VST technology. If that's the case then this is all moot anyway.

I also downloaded the Trilian library, 33 GB. Can I just download the latest version, 1.6.4d, and setup by navigating wherever the STEAM folder is located? Also is this correct order or have to install each previous update?

If you have DL'ed the Library that goes with Trilian v1.6x it should be ok. Assuming everything else is updated.

    Mr. Scorvious..
From your screenshot it seems that you are operating 32 bit version (Trilian.dll) of the Trilian. And it's version 1.1g.

If you want to use Trilian only in daw install only VST2 and/or VST3. since you use FL. You can also select standalone if you may need it sometimes as you never know. AAX is similar to VST but is exclusively for Pro Tools as AAU is exclusively for Mac/ Logic Pro

So if you update it with v1.6.4 it would install the standalone, VST2 x64 (64 bit version of the plugins detected by most DAWs) and VST3 x64(a similar new type of more efficient 3rd generation VST and also is 64 bit) to the plugin directories you pointed during installation.

Only thing is that, If that directory already contains Trilian 64 bit. dll (i.e VST2 format ) it will overwrite/replace it as along with standalone and VST3 in their default directories. But if you actually had a 32 bit. dll in there it won't likely overwrite it and it will remain. It would simply install the 64 bit version alongside.

So after plugin scan you will have both the newer 64 bit plugin and older 32 bit detected. It's your choice you can manually delete it and rescan or let it remain if you are too confused.

I guess the new STEAM library release is almost similar to earlier releases. But it contains the Soundsource library update version v1.0.1 and the patch library update v1.6.0.

So if you had the older library of 33 GB you only need to install the Soundsource library update and then the patch update.

You Soundsource library seems to be updated to v1.0.1. So it's only the patch update you need and You are good to go...
    Hope that helps...
