    One thing to add.
IIR option is best for that. FIR does not remove it completely, even if IR length is too long, sharp Q etc. So, IIR.

    A small comparison

Nova set to real time pink noise

You've set the freq to 20Hz in your first example. I don't use 20Hz.
    Second is the same here.

VST Plugin Analyser 1.0 should settle the score. Klirr factor is very bad too, obviously.

Yup. I've actually been experimenting with FIR filters with DMG EQuilibrium. Damn software devs putting in an unhealthy amount of customization options in their EQ for me to obsess over...
FIR Minimum phase is very similar to IIR Minimum phase, but like you said, doesn't work well for DC blocking. FIR can be rather steep like IIR but it requires a massive window size, and I don't see why you would bother.
    So it's just a "pink-noisifier"...
I really don't see the point of this. We, as engineers, already automatically adjust the loudness of things based on how loud we perceive it to be. This entire idea of equalizing based on perceived loudness/pink noise (which actually isn't a perfect equal loudness curve but...whatever) is what humans have already been doing since the invention of equalizers. A mastered mix should already roughly be an equal loudness curve or pink noise if you're EQ'ing subjectively "right" and any perceived deficiencies can be easily tuned by a common EQ or dynamic EQ.
I feel like too many people are now trying to EQ a "specific" or "right" way instead of just trusting their ears.
    Am I missing something here?

Ah, good old tool. :like: Sadly, I don't even know how to use it anymore (neither that it can work with jBridge).

    Within limitations, yes.
