no way would i buy this. but i could also audition a years worth of downloaded vocal samples that I end up liking, rent Antares version for a month, and process them all for 25$. Also, almost every Slate plugin people hype up, then they get it and never mention it again.

Logic was $200. Falcon $200 and change, on sale. Komplete 14 Ultimate on sale, is $400 more than this 1 plugin. I think they may be smoking better stuff than you are.

Meta Tune would be better if you had multiple vocals. You only need to change key for any vocal in that group and the rest would change as well. A real time saver especially for livestream where you need to change key for a bunch of vocals with one click.

 

Honestly, I don't really get the problem : either you need it now enough to spend the money, or you wait because you can work without it or don't have the money to buy it.
Don't be paralyzed by something you haven't any levrage to modify (R2R's releases)

Moreover, if R2R releases it, well, you still have your legit one... and the plugin doesn't become less usefull if others have it too.
Just my 2 cents here of course.

 

I felt the same when buying the Soundtoys Bundle on a sale. Well, if R2R releases it, it will be optimized and ilok free, and probably work faster. But that hasn't happened for a year now. So, just saying.

 

1. Are you rich ? Then buy anything you want as money is not an issue.

2. Is your family rich ? Then buy anything you want as money is not an issue.

3. Your are not rich ? Then do you make enought money from music to live a confortable life and to re-invest your money in new music tools ?

4. You do not make any or enought money from your music ATM ? Then use Autotune wich is available for MAC and PC on the sister site.

A big red flag? I am not sure what you mean, you could just raise the gain afterwards I guess? Although I didn't observe this behaviour.. Maybe you had a stereo-track, because Crispytuner only works in mono which would probably result in a quieter signal after converting vom stereo to mono.

 

Never liked Crispytuner. Somehow I just couldn't get it to sound natural.

 

What the hell did I just listened to.

 

The harshest robotic effect came when I first removed vibrations and slides between notes through melodyne, and then into autotune. It is tough)

 

It's just zplane auto tune

I've found running vocals through multiple instances of an auto tuner can create a nice robotic effect without it being too aggressive (such as with 0ms attack)
