Spitfire releases BML Bones vol 1!

AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD NOW AT A 20% DISCOUNT PRICE OF £223 (FULL PRICE £279) FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY!

BONES VOLUME 1, Features two sections; Tenor Trombones and Bass Bones both a2 (in future volumes you’ll get soloists, giving you 3 totally different players of each size on different instruments in different positions when played tutti) played by some of the greatest players on the planet today and recorded at Air Studios, London. Deeply sampled with an essential set of articulations, the most comprehensive set of mic positions all ingeniously scripted for an "it just plays out of the box experience".

Composers have been travelling the world to come and record in London for many years now, our strings are formidable, alongside our woodwinds and brass. But the bones, well they’re just the backbone of any self respecting brass section! Maybe it’s the colliery tradition, the numerous symphony and chamber orchestras, the three major opera houses, several world class concert halls and 80+ theatre pits and buzzing film business in London alone. It leaves our brass players a cut above the rest of the world.

Bones Volume 1 also features many scripting and sampling innovations developed when producing our seminal Sable and Mural strings ranges and comes with the full feature set and intuitive GUI developed for the whole of the BML range. As you would expect with BML, Bones will feature a comprehensive selection of microphone perspectives and labour saving Jake Jackson mixes. Bones also has some additional expression features including intensity, tightness and control of release triggers to give even more human elements and a further ability to tweak .

AVAILABLE FOR TWO WEEKS AT A 20% DISCOUNT FOR £229 (FULL PRICE £279).

Looks great, in continuity with their BML lineup.

Would have been nice to have to have deeper glissando possibilities, maybe in vol 2. :dunno:

Can't wait to try it !

Thanks for the info phloopy, looks like a solid addition to the BML line. Ah but I'll wait for Andrew to unravel her secrets, he's a better musician than me any day.

Thanks for the support, I'll look into it once it becomes available, for sure.
Now I'm prepping a review for 8dio stuff, but can't find the whole package, most of it is down.

BTW, don't be that hard on yourself Cat,
you probably have never seen me playing

Yeah but you understand music as a language and are great at mixing. I struggle with these things in addition to sucking at playing. I'm actually studying counterpoint at the moment and besides having to learn this stuff I also find it hard to balance the creativity with the technicality of it all. I often have many questions and don't even have the time to ask them. Then there's the added complexity of having to study instruments that you write for so in a sense you are studying how to play the guitar, piano and about a million other things. There's just so many subjects to explore if you want to be a good producer and it's a little overwhelming and that's coming from a programmer. I guess I wish that I started my musical endeavors earlier in life, it's not like I'm old but if that were the case I could be on a different level right now. Plus one of my favorite genres doesn't have tutorials or basically any information that would be useful so I'm like a canary in a coal mine. The one good thing I have is a willingness to learn and an inability to accept defeat. Failure is not an option and it is literally the most important goal that I have.

If it brings you any comfort, I still don't know the transposing rules for brass/winds.
But if you ever need an advice, like from an orchestrator point of view, I'll do my best to help.

No Andrew that doesn't make me feel better...at all.

Thanks for the offer of help, maybe one day I'll pick your brain about something. I really appreciate it.

And was I the only one that thought this was the first human bone library? I've been really waiting on that one. I come here and find out they didn't even mean that...they meant trombones Andrew...trombones. What a letdown. :(
