Hi, hope you are fine! Sorry to bother you, I have a question.

    - Does Ableton have sample config. features like FL studio?

I mean, when you click on any channel you can see on the left superior corner of the channel window next to the envelope the icon of a wrench. I wonder if Ableton has these similar features.

    Thanks.

The 'sample config' thing you are talking about is just called a 'sampler'.
And I dont use ableton live but i know they have the most popular sampler of all daws.

Yes ABleton has a sampler: there is a minimal sampler, called simpler, which is meant for smaller sampler things.

and then you have a simpler version with more features, simply called sampler, which is meant if you want to build a multi-sampled instrument.

I have created a simply bass instrument from samples from a synth, with sampler, its clean and fast and has all the essential features needed fro that job.

if i want to just use a kickdrum, i use simpler or if i want to have a bunch of samples, i use either impulse or drum rack, which uses sampler instances, with a 128 cell pad style.

I prefer what Ableton has in terms of sampler devices than what FL has any day, Abletons ideas are just more minimalistic and tidy.

So what I'm need are called SIMPLER and SAMPLER.

Thank you for answering. The question was kinda stup¡d, I know, but I didn't know well how to explain myself and english is not my main language. I've been a FL Studio user for a long time and I always use these sampler knobs. I just wanted to know if Ableton has the same or similar knobs to work before switching to it.
Thank you so much for your replies and for your time.
    Best wishes.

Was not a bad question, but it was irritating forumlated.

yes you have simpler and sampler (if you started with a simpler, you can always turn it into a sampler, the other way around works also, but keeps forced multisampling feature inside simpler, which i dont really like.)

impulse has quick adjustments, more minimal compared to FL's Legacy effects, if you still know them. (stretching, overdrive, soften the start of a sample, and various ways to pan and volume the output via midi volume parameter). It fast if you want to have small group of samples, my groove 1 group for example.

The more extensive effects FL's sampler provides are covered via various other devices, which you need to add. (the Legacy effects in FL sampler were so good and they can really lead to creative output, sometimes i have used them - exported and use the output in Ableton. You can always do that.)
I mean you can keep FL around, use it for such ideas, where you really need the FL sampler features, export it and maybe create a small library, which you can use with Ableton? i have done that long time ago. Even created a bunch loops inside FL pattern sequencer, now i can completely do this in Live as im confortable to work with its piano roll.

Anyway just give Live a longer shot and maybe you like it.

Hey mate, I switched from FL to Ableton, and I must say: I do not miss it anymore.
It was VERY frustrating navigating and getting used to the piano roll (alt+tab to scroll is boring) and all the other stuff, but once I got used to it, flying... i suggest you spend more time with ableton, it might be worth it
