Hey everyone, I recently bought Lewit MTP 840 DM, In all modes when i raise gain with SSL2 upper than 6 i hear white noise like those in old tv. is it right? or I just bought a problematic mic?
at the file below i recorded from 0 to 10 gain, setting on microphon are P48 with lamp symbol, 150hz, and 0dB, recorded on cubase exported as flac
*Note: I recorded in a not treated room at early morning 5:30am, Used the same cable i have from Rode NT2a box, with ssl2 4k option noise even get greater. noises in room are only pc fan wich is a dell low noise one which the noise mic produces is a lot difference with the voice of pc

That, to me, sounds like preamp noise. You should plug the mic into another interface and see if it acts the same. This video from Julian Krause should give you some answers

Embrace the noise XD . Its not necessarily that bad, try recording something with it see where that leads you. Its a dynamic mic, it needs a lot of gain.

thank you, actually with gain 6 or 7 it really acts good, i just got maybe too much into it, also the nt2a is so much good with ssl2 that maybe made me get sensitive to this dynamic mic, this interface and nt2a are great match hopefully, i bought this mic for partly times, and also for using it for fast record tests, rapid melodies, and just keep the nt2a for final records.
also i gonna test it on my friends interfaces to check how it works with other models.
    thank you for your replies

Record loud stuff. Lower gain. (and/or different mic). Problem solved.:rofl:
